So, I started Pokemon Go and restarted Ingress. My life is officially screwed. 😅

Pokemon GO- PSA

All the negative news surrounding Pokemon GO is actually VERY irritating. Some are trying to sue or blame the creators of the game.

Excuse me?

Have you heard of the phrase 'PLAY RESPONSIBLY?'

Nobody said you had to go into that cemetery. Who said it was a good idea to play while driving? Can you use some common sense?

Just like any other app, what consequences would occur if you played while driving?

That's right, think about it for a second.

Also, you don't exactly have to go in the spot with the shaking grass, right? You simply just tap it on your 'radar'. Don't take unnecessary risks, it's not worth it.

And if you DO consider driving a few km to catch 'em all, I suggest you take someone with you in the backseat to have control of that device of yours. Yes, that's right, let THEM hold it so you don't crash.

The Pokemon GO creators are NOT to blame in anyway. Stop placing unnecessary blame on them, you took the risk to play the game, you deal with the consequences if you use the app inappropriately. It’s just like any other game or activity.

Take a gentle stroll around the block with your device, or go for a small cruise on the road with a few others and let them use the device for your own safety.

Stay safe, everyone. There are plenty, safer alternatives out there you can use to catch 'em all.  Because that way, the game won’t have to be abruptly shut down which would leave everyone terribly sad, and we don’t need or want that.

Does the House always win?

Does the House always Win? This is a common saying by a lot of people to put people off gambling their hard earned cash. But is it always true? Casinos make Big Money… The reasons Casino companies do so well is because the house is in their favour the majority of the time in my opinion. The majority of the games they will have will be effective for their end goal, i.e to get as much money as possible in the short and long-term. Also the way that the Online Casinos will be marketed will be to encourage the player to play by getting them stimulated. For example giving them a big win, then slowly take more and more money away. It gives the player the feeling that there is potential to win so they are more likely to come back in the future. But aren’t Casinos regulated for this? True, the big Casinos and gambling institutions are regulated by boards to ensure fairness. This post assumes that the Casinos in question are fair. The way that a Casino is advertised and marketed to the consumers eye can have a large impact on the way that the player behaves. The player doesn’t realise this but sub-consciously they will be influenced by flashy images and text and to heighten the senses in the individual stimulating them to perform certain actions. This is of course what most companies could do and I’m not saying that any specific companies do this. Advertising, making things appealing to the eye can have a vast impact of an individuals behaviour just in my opinion. I heard that in Blackjack you have better odds than the house? There are various different types of Blackjack, especially on-line Casinos with varying odds so I can’t really say specifically. However like will all games of chance and skill. Some of it depends on the way you play and being at the right time and place (luck) So I personally think this game would be similar in odds to others. It all depends on the way you play it. In Summary As a responsible gambler you should always be using the money that you can afford to lose, you should be playing for fun and if you were to lose the money you had, it should not affect you mentally or affect your life in any way. It is meant as a form of entertainment, I think that you should always have the mindset that the house will always win as this keeps you cautious and in my opinion makes you a better gambler. You will be more cautious when it comes to placing bets and be more aware of how much you are spending on your gambling entertainment. This means that you can make more informed decisions as you are taking in more information from your environment.
