Red Dead Code of "Don't Shoot!!!"

The whistle. If players are whistling, it is supposed to mean they are friendly and don't intend to shoot.

If you shoot someone despite them whistling as non-aggressive, that makes you a meanie.

It is fun to use the whistle in horse races. Because I have had whole lobbies start whistling back and nobody shoots anyone thru the whole race. It was perfect.

Just gonna put this out there:

If you are making a character for DnD (or a similar game) who has been somehow isekai'd from another, pre existing media world ( IE minecraft, IE half life, etc):

You don't want to play dnd. You want to write a fanfic.

#dnd #table etiquette #player etiquette #this is based off real examples I as a DM have dealt with #and yes these are red flags for players #there's nothing wrong with wanting to write a story or create a character connected to a media you enjoy #however you do need to consider the fact that someone else has created a world for you to play in that has taken them a lot of time to make #and especially if you have other players who are not playing isekai characters you will take everybody out of their immersion #i find players like this also struggle with sharing the spotlight or derailing in other ways too #it can be very frustrating and awkward to deal with as a dm
