Tumblr…I must know, what do you put first?
The juice mix/chocolate powder or the water/milk.
Please do put your reasoning for either or, I want to see silly tumblr fights.

Bigger bed, less furniture
Smaller bed, more furniture
Furniture being shelves, chair, desk, anything that isn’t a bed.

More info about the scenario below the cut, if you want more to consider
literally anyone who sees this, please answer (as best you can): is there a term for a dish that’s just many small pieces of meat/veggies sautéed/fried/cooked together and just put on a plate? Like they’re the main event but it’s just loose bits of ingredient, sometimes with sauce. Is there a term for that
Hey wondering if I should be bold enough to add definitions to my LGBT fantasy squad on my family’s christmas gifts? Thoughts?
I’ll also put a poll on my twitter btw. (the flags already already on the drawings)
Having thoughts about D&D characters today. I’m working on getting further into the head of my paladin for my Tuesday night game, and noticing my tendency (in this game and in other games I’ve played) to let everyone else create characters first, and then create mine based on perceived needs - which works well in the game sense, but not always in the sense of getting to know the character. So now I’m left thinking “well, why is she here, in this group, at this time, other than the fact that we needed someone who wears heavy armor and swings a big sword?” For some reason, I’m having trouble reverse-engineering her to be as vibrant a character as the others in my game. It’s an ongoing process, I suppose.
Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the spectrum, every time I head over to one of the D&D reddits, there’s a post from some frustrated DM or player about how this one player in their group is roleplaying their character in a way that’s actively harming the group, using “that’s just what my character would do” as an excuse to make the whole game about them, or to disrupt everything the DM tries to do in terms of story. And I remember my very first experience in playing a TTRPG, a Dragon Age game we ran briefly a few years ago, with a guy whose character basically only wanted to sit in a bar and drink, and seemed to fight against any attempt by the DM to get him involved in the plot. I wasn’t sure TTRPGs were for me after that game, quite frankly, but thankfully I moved on to play with friends whose goals align with mine much more closely.
So I’m thinking about the delicate balance between TTRPGs as a cooperative group game, and as vehicles to create interesting characters with flaws and agendas. Sometimes it’s hard to find the right spot between those two goals, and it’s definitely hard to make sure you have a group of people whose answer to that question falls approximately around the same place on the spectrum. So audience participation question, if anyone’s in the mood to answer - where do you fall on the spectrum? Are you a person who creates your character and then figures out how to fit into a group, or do you create a character to fill a need and then figure out the character themselves from there? Have you had particularly good or bad experiences with balancing a group? If you came across a situation in-game where doing something “in character” would possibly decrease the enjoyment your fellow players got from the game, what would you do?
Just curious about everyone’s experiences in creating characters and integrating them into a group. It’s different for every game, I’m sure!
How do you confront somebody to ask them if they'd be willing to walk you to your car? Specifically a security guard in a mall or just some random person in the mall? Cause I get really anxious whenever I have to walk outside and I'm just not sure how exactly I can ask someone.
