Being actively against jk does not mean I agree that you should tell people to kts over a game!
Please learn the difference between spreading your message and hurting people in anyway exceptions are incredibly slim. This goes for any kind of activism.
your vs. you’re
I get being critical of the media you consume, but a lot of people on this site involved in fandoms end up getting to the point where they find a problem with literally everything to the point where they just end up hate blogging and it's just like...if you hate something that much, maybe stop engaging with it? Idk, so many of the tags I follow are just full of people hate blogging and it sucks when you have to sift through tons and tons of posts complaining about the most minute details, blowing things out of proportion, and often wildly misinterpreting parts of media so they can continue hating on it.
Idk, there's just so much negative shit going on in real life and sometimes I just want to read fluffy headcanons and not be inundated with post after post of CinemaSins "Everything Wrong With ______" takes. It's exhausting.
Like, I'm not saying you can't comment negatively on or criticize the media you consume. I do that too. It's just when it's gotten to the point where people are going off on these ridiculous "Steven Universe supports fascism" takes that it makes me want to pull my hair out.
Sometimes it really ISN'T that deep. Sometimes there are multiple interpretations to the media you consume, and that's fine. We can discuss those interpretations without acting like we can read the minds of content creators and demonize them over something that might not even have been their intention when they created the content. (It's fine to question content creators intentions, and discuss what you feel like their intentions are, but that's very different from deciding that you KNOW their intentions when they haven't said or done anything to indicate that they had bad intentions.) It's also very interesting that this kind of demonizing happens way more to content creators that are LGBTQ+, POC, etc.
It's after 3AM and I'm rambling. Just watch these Sarah Z videos - they explain what I am trying to say much better than I am right now.
(Also subscribe to her. She's awesome.)
Inuyasha/Yashahime Fandom,
Just a suggestion--
But how about we not prematurely claim things are canon before a confirmation has been made, eh?
Dat would be hella nice.
And you certain shippers out there- you know who you are- better be careful. Trump did exactly what you're doing now before the election was called and look where his sorry ass is now.... just sayin'. 🤡
