My daughters slept very restlessly last night, so I kept waking up and falling back to sleep. And that's probably why I had very, very strange dreams. In one of them, I took Suzanne Collins hostage and demanded that she tell me the names of Peeta's brothers. She looked at me with eyes full of horror, and then she said that ONE DAY we would know their names (but not their parents names, we would NEVER know their parents' names - her words!). Then I began to ask her, very correctly (but insistently), what she thought of the name “Rye” and whether she knew that we would not accept another name. And then I asked what happened to Caesar after the revolution and my dream turned into a "life of Caesar Flickerman” in the style of a "tale of three brothers" from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (I don't remember the plot about Caesar itself, but it was beautiful magic dream).

I woke up angry and very displeased with Suzanne Collins. I was hoping that she would confirm that Rye is canon, at least in my dream. Damn, this was MY dream, Suzanne, what the hell?! And then I read her interview and I went mad again.

Her parents [Katniss] have their own histories in District 12 but I only included what’s pertinent to Katniss’s tale. <...> I have a world of information about the characters that didn’t make it into the book. With some stories, revealing that could be illuminating, but in the case of The Hunger Games, I think it would only be a distraction unless it was part of a new tale within the world of Panem.

Woman, we need this information. Oh please. OH PLEASE.
