Sakura finds herself far from home and she breathes easy for it. A mission to the far North-West, far far away from Konoha on her own and it's not hard, but it's exactly what she needs to find herself.

She picks a few flowers as she goes (something to bring home when she returns to Konoha) just because she can. She'll present them to the man she loves who is waiting for her to return. It's the start of their garden and Sakura intends to make it grow

Gato doesn't trust Zabuza to get the job done. Instead he sends a team of thugs to ambush the Bridge Builder on his return to Wave. Team Seven, exhausted from their fight and Kakashi still unconscious, is separated. Sakura gets captured.

Terrible things happen to pretty girls in the hands of men like Gato and his thugs.

But Zabuza puts his claim in first and suddenly Sakura isn't the prisoner of a civillian businessman and his hired muscle. Suddenly she's Momichi Zabuza's.

Status: Complete (13 chapters); part of the Dark Waters series. (Note: Highly recommend it for any fans of the wave-mission-goes-even-worse scenarios. Gritty and realistic; definitely not for the faint of heart or those that want to read a happy fic on the go. If it intrigues you, I recommend you read the rest of the series.)
