UHHHHHHHHHHH pt.1
@idkdema ehheheheheh
I was messing around trying to rhyme cos most of my poems are just free writing (This one too 😂)
But I like the poem I wrote:
THE SWEET LADY JANE ARI
How about I tell you a story
Have you heard of this girl named Jane Ari
She was said to be born in January
For someone whose parents were so hairy
Her skin was fair and smooth like a fairy
She would often write in her diary
About her dreams, hopes and the man she would love to marry
Her beauty was far from ordinary
She had a line of suitors to parry
Because none of them was the man she would love to marry
Years went by but she remained stationary
Till a certain man stole her heart, he goes by the name of Harry
Their time together was fun and oh so merry
But alas on her birthday that January
A corpse was found by the roadside and the cops identified her as the lady Jane Ari
It turns out that the man she would love to marry
Was the serial killer Hunter, whose real name was Harry
She was buried that January
And on her gravestone wrote, “Here lies the sweet lady Jane Ari ”
What was the point of this story?
To remind you how life can be, so don't force your expectations or you'll be sorry
Rest well my sweet lady Jane Ari.

Story Prompt 95
With each step taken, the ground quivered beneath them, echoing the weight of their actions. The air they breathed seemed to carry a heavy toll, as if every inhale spelled doom for countless others. Despite prevailing in battle, one final obstacle remained – the last remnants of a hero.
Sauntering along the desolate road, they spotted him, sitting alone with an air of defiance. "Pathetic," they muttered, their voice laced with contempt. "You dare call yourself a hero?"
Meeting their gaze with unwavering resolve, the hero remained steadfast. "No need for concern," they whispered to themselves, a smirk tugging at their lips as they approached.
Leaning in close, they spoke softly into his ear, their words dripping with malice. "Even with your courage, you should've fled when you had the chance, you fool."
The hero's expression remained resolute, silently accepting his fate. With a swift motion, they plunged their hand into his abdomen, tearing through flesh with a ruthless efficiency.
As life ebbed from the hero's eyes, he managed a bitter chuckle. "You may believe yourself human," he gasped, his voice barely a whisper, "but your humanity died long ago."
Your story is a romance. A ruthless old outcast in a small family-owned paradise has to deal with resisting temptation while trying to reveal the good in a friend. They meet an honest strong scam artist. But someone challenges them to a duel. Along the way, they are helped by a wealthy experienced ghost and face a famous archeologist. In the end, they risk finding something they lost long ago. The story is set in the Renaissance period and an important element is a secret work of art. Generate your own prompt | Support me on Ko-Fi
"Through the years, a number of mechanical devices have been placed on the market that offer to do your plotting and idea-getting for you... there is no guarantee they serve up your kind of plot." Writing to Sell by Scott Meredith, 4th edition, 1995, first published in 1950.

"The local viscount is found contemplating their mortality in a literal sense. Suspicion falls on Little Ox Eye’s real ale appreciation society, worried that an alarming decline of peat bogs might threaten the winery."
