@plush-anon Sometimes I'm just sitting here innocently and I get a case of the fanny flutters and I know something interesting is happening to one of the trash men I salivate over. It's a spidey sense and an absolute curse 🥴👀💦
YOU VOICED GUS ON CAROLE AND TUESDAY WOW THAT'S COOL
I did! Such a lovely show, was glad to be a part of it. Not my usual kind of character either, GUS IS SUCH A GOOD LAD. I think folks on here tend to think I’m a hobbyist and that voiceover isn’t my actual career haha Which is fair given the whole internet handle/alias thing I guess. But I’m flattered whenever somebody spots me in something I’ve voiced in so thank you!!
let's see, 3 fictional characters. Vampire!North, Lady Pitchiner, annnnd Onyx the Nightmare
XD thank you
as someone who hated suicide squad and saw Birds of Prey, GO SEE IT! canon and OPENLY queer characters with varied motivations, fighting styles, moral stances - none of them feels flat or copy-pasted and they all feel unique and interesting! there IS a lotta leg trauma/violence tho, so be prepared. also genuinely funny??? i was surprised how much i laughed
Excellent! You are not the only person to let me know it was good fun to watch! I now have every intention of seeing it. I just hope it’s still in theaters after all this pandemic pandemonium starts to settle down.
For @plush-anon I’m sorry your birthday didn’t turn out to be what you had hoped it would be, but I hope some Black/Sand and Happy Birthday wishes will help cheer you up at least a little bit. 💜
(I’m not particularly well versed with Black/Sand, like at all, so don’t look at this too critically, it’s just something silly to hopefully help cheer up a friendo).
“Look”, Pitch drawled lazily from the couch he was sprawled languidly across “all I’m saying is that there’s no need to involve me in this. I have every faith, that should you, for some ridiculous reason insist on going through with this cockamamie idea of yours, you'll be perfectly spectacular doing so on your own”.
Crossing his golden arms across his chest, Sandy huffed, and shot the so called nightmare king a reproachful glare.
“Ugh.” Pitch raised his long arm to drape it over his face, hiding his eyes from Sandy’s for a few moments before eventually uttering a defeated sigh. Dropping his limb back down across his chest, he met Sandy’s eyes once again. “Fine, I’ll “assist” you with this entirely unnecessary endeavor of yours, but at least let me do so from here. It’s not as though it’ll make any difference if I don’t go outside; it’s not as if they’d ever know.”
Uncrossing his arms, Sandy folded his hands in front of himself as he gave a wistful glance towards the door, before turning his eyes back towards Pitch, expression shifting into a...
Pitch threw his hands up in the air. “Oh, for the love of fear, I’ll come outside with you, just please wipe that pout off of your face!” he hissed, as he pushed himself up, groggily walking towards the sandman.
Sandy’s face exploded into a grin as he latched onto Pitch’s wrist, and began excitedly dragging the fumbling man of shadows behind him.
Once out on the porch, the Sandman and the Boogeyman stood side by side, one casting streams of golden dream sand, and the other wisps of black nightmare sand out into the open air.
The black sand lightly outlined the gold, giving it more contrast against the sky as the golden streams curled, and formed into appropriately golden script to say “Happy Golden Birthday Plush-Anon!”
“There, was that everything you had hoped it would be? Pitch inquired sardonically, but his face softened as he looked upon Sandy’s, whose expression was pleased, full of hope, and positively beaming with delight.
Pitch wasn’t quite where he needed to be to understand Sandy’s motives, or the reasons behind the emotions currently playing across his face, but he was slowly coming to understand that Sandy’s ensuing happiness after such strange endeavors always made helping with them seem more than worthwhile in the end.
I actually have a theory as to why Oz went from 'people die as per usual' to 'nah, death is just a concept other people are concerned with'. Death became a regular event when a mortal (eg the Wizard) ruled over the fairy land, but everything SLOWLY went back to fae normal once Ozma was restored to the throne. Granted, the killing thing could also just be 'Ozians throw someone into the Deadly Desert', but that's my take on it, at least
That’s a great theory! And yeah, I was thinking something along those lines, just like as you said, since Baum’s definitions become more extreme over time. And I like the thought that if someone is REALLY bad their neighbors toss them into the deadly desert.

what kind of music would he play? would he have an underground set-up for things like that underground maze the french police found for film parties? or would he be driving around in a tiny trailer, evading the police?
So he’s got like, a “drop point” where people can leave tapes/CDs/flash drives, and if you end up on the Phantom’s radio station that’s like a HUGE deal in the indie scene because he’s so exacting about the quality of the stuff he plays. But it’s not like, just “indie” music, it’s literally any genre as long as it’s high enough quality. If he doesn’t think he has anything that’s any good he doesn’t play anything that night, and it’s uncertain when the Phantom station is live because he doesn’t play repeats--if there’s only 2 hours worth of music, the station only runs long enough for that and his intros, etc.
He definitely operates out of the catacombs like that secret film club.
