How to deal with "Squares" in Synastry and (Mars square Mars) 🤬

Squares create a magnetic pull and repulsion as well. The purpose is to draw to individuals together, but once together there may be triggers, and obstacles and differences and this is what causes the repulsion. We feel comfortable and resonate with what is familiar on the surface of things, our subconscious and conscious reactions to the other persons differences or proclivities are what causes tension in the connection. Two planets squaring each other are at "odds" and sometimes out of each other's orbit. When planet's are in opposition they can agree to disagree, yes we are different elements but we can work together and compromise. When they are in conjunction they are basically colliding, merging together, becoming one. With oppositions and conjunctions it is not all smooth sailing but is not as volatile. Squares cause constant irritation and uphill battles in connections. Whatever issues or triggers they bring up keep resurfacing over and over again, it takes maturity and growth on both individuals parts to resolve this. The desire to stick it out, stay together and work through these issues, have to be stronger than wanting to be right, in control and preserving the ego. They must figure out the root of the problem and how it is negatively affecting the connection, in order to subdue the energy of the "square". Because it is a Square the energy will always be lurking under the surface, but once the triggers are acknowledged and the energy is transmuted, it no longer has power over the connection or the couples actions within the dynamic. Usually in a square one partner is more negatively affected than the other, like Venus square Saturn, where the Venus person feels as though the Saturn person has too many restrictions like family, their work or emotional issues that delay them both coming together to have a sustainable connection. There are occasions where both individuals are affected. Like Mercury square Mercury, Venus square Venus and Mars square Mars as examples. With Mars square Mars, no matter the sign there are power struggles as well as occasional discord between the two. I call this love/hate aspect, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" for the obvious reasons. This aspect causes intense sexual attraction and passion as well. There could be in extreme cases physical, and verbal altercations, a couple can be seen fighting and arguing one minute and in bed together the next. Of course if there are other soft Venus, Moon and Neptune aspects this can just add to the connection, but this is a high "deal breaker" red flag aspect, as it can be highly toxic, because it is emotionally and mentally unsustainable for a long term connection. To subdue this aspects intensity both individuals have to put down their swords and wave the white flag especially if both individuals have strong Sun and Mars placements in the natal, if not they may eventually go their separate ways to less challenging connections. If they have aspects like Venus square Mars, or Pluto square Mars in their natal chart, they may just attract these types of connections. I will list what I have seen as difficult square aspects in synastry below for your references.

MISUNDERSTANDING. the end 🥰 jk. but it’s really common for this synastry for the sun to want something casual and have sexual needs and for the moon to want a relationship and being delulu, idealizing little things. -I’m the sun- First of all, the situationship could have started accompanied by a misunderstanding. One part says one thing and the other understand another. Idk one could invite you to eat, for them it’s like nothing, like a way of being alone 😏 and for the other is a date that would take it to the next level: relationship, to being intimate with you but in a non sexual way. They don’t get what Mars wants to do, they don’t get where’s the situationship going. Mars is at their own rhythm and Neptune doesn’t know what to do, so both of them look what’s happening. Neptune could be in their fantasy world were they let Mars do whatever they want bc at the end they always justify it. Hi! Hope your holidays went well and you’re feeling ready for the new year! I’m interested to see if me and this guy have synastry typical with long term relationships. I’ve been obsessed with him from the first moment I saw him and while he has shown me he cares for me and is deeply attracted to me, there’s been no move towards commitment. Hello, answering this is gonna be a long one.

I’m seeing a lot in these charts separately and together but let’s get into it. Far warning that I’m gonna be honest and intuitive to what I see okay. Thank you for the ask.

For starters longevity it’s a common go to for people looking at synastry. What you must be capable of is understanding the longevity means nothing if what you’re signing up for is a waste of your time. It’s can mean a long term cycles or long term fantasy/illusions. People energy no matter the essence, is a web you can easily but comfortably get involved with despite danger lingering by.

If I’m being honest I see a lot of possible cycles and illusions….also lots of sexual energy and obsession indeed that ultimately leaves no one in this situation with the proper satisfaction (or he right kind)

let’s point out some aspects natally

His Natal

Capicorn rising - okay so he is Saturn Rx in pices in his 2nd house. 🙂 He also has some retrograded but elusive planets in his first house. I will say this that commitments to anything aren’t his strongest suit in terms of his life lessons. He has a boundary problem and he’s pretty expansive and sure of himself at the same time. I see why he’s so intense, his energy is brooding but messy. He doesn’t even know how to commit to himself. He’s just had or is about to have a Saturn return and I’m sure after Pluto in Capicorn & Aquarius left him feeling like he isn’t sure of anything any more, not by the same structures he adhered to before (I.e childhood, fatherly examples, societal conformity). All of his old ways of maybe 🤔I don’t know eluding his responsibilities to exert strong boundaries and have more of a . conscious word esteem instead of a feen for validation but I don’t think he knows any different so he’s currently going through a huge life lesson that is. This surrounds relationships, boundaries, day to day habits and mental health.

Mars Scorpio - He knows what he wants on an intimate level and he seeks after it in an investigative way. He focuses on you and dissects you piece by piece and will make you his little toy. Sensual and passionate in a display of affection. He has this on his node of destiny. So his path is him searching for something that mentally and spiritually activates his soul. He may try or has tried to finesse the drawls. He can promise a commitment and may offer temporary love. Because if it’s not something he made the decision for, he’s still not gonna be rushed.

Mars conjunct North Node - this is a Scorpio/Libra conjunction. I will say as indecisive as is he knows who he wants to touch love and marry and all are separate categories. It’s in the 10/9th house also it’s a something that he values in appearances and matching with another. Also Venus being connected to this in Virgo leaves a bit of a meticulous or picky lover on a deep level. Another placement of courting vigorously, knowing how to anyways…if he hasn’t already given you his hand rather than penis do not over give your emotions to him. Him in control is only safe for him.

Moon in Aries - He’s a very strong stubborn headed cookie huh? He is very focused on how to make himself happy and satisfied. Especially with his masculine dominance towards lust and attraction. Women to him are sexy…or at least how he likes em but also they are understanding and emotional, they are important in matters of looks (partnership) and intimacy (lust/passion) but also his greatest fear he likes a chaser/challenge energy.He Loves to linger…He is a bit impulsive and noncommittal in a way with this energy falling into your house of sex. At best he’s obsessed with that nunu. He thinks you a great talk to understand him and his temperamental actions or tendency to impulsive. Scorpio Pluto - he has alot of intense and dare I say emotionally seeking energy. Lots of love and war here, maybe a deep seated betray or revelation in childhood or young adulthood that changes his perspective on power, control, and pulled him into a place of wanting to be stronger and mysterious. Also with this in your 3rd house on your ic. His energy is addicting to your inner world but also over bearing obvious that he has or will gain control over you. This is also squaring your TAURUS (stability) Saturn…again no ma’am this is not energy you need to trap yourself into because your about to. Also your mental and important dreams thoughts and goals is tied into your mercury which is also your chart ruler. He likes this by the way…having power over your mind and when he doesn’t he may threaten the stability or manipulate you. He feel like in a relationship he’s the jealous type. But long term stability isn’t happening here I’ll go further. This is a conflicting energy at the base of your chart wgeee your roots emotions and inner world lies. I think he will seek to change you in many ways.

His Saturn (Pisces chart ruler) is not even aspecting much nor well anything in your houses. It’s a burden towards your identity and confidence, you will feel like you have to take in a lot of responsibility and burden in the union if it becomes a serious commitment. It squares your moon (emotions and deeper inner world with this being in your fourth house AND with your union asteroid at that).None of his love asteroids except link rx is in your 7th. His Saturn also squares your mars (assertiveness) falling into his 11th house of friendship. You may or may not actually get the reaction of deeper commitment you’re looking for.

His Jupiter (Sagittarius 11th house) is opposite your Jupiter (Gemini 10th house) shows a risk of tension between values and again with Gemini Jupiter in your chart ruler energy, a distinct tension with your dreams, goals and career. I can already tell he wants a traditional wife that fits into his world and moulds to his emotions, supports him while allowing him to take the lead. He may make your values dreams and personal expansion feel limited, weighted or even restricted. He wants to explore but may also have a strong religious or ideological way he wants to pursue his goals and wishes in life. He may put a lot of value into a community or friend group to the point where they influentb house ce who he pursues as well. He likes and is probably a hidden aspect to your world, very familiar in a way.

His Mars (Scorpio 10th house) is squaring Neptune (Aquarius 6th house) illusions, and confusion his actions do not match his words and he may even be tempted to accept your confession with no commitment on mind.

None of his love asteroids make any appearance in your 7th or 5th house. I think you both have a great friendship that meddled over the line of obsession and physical attraction.

His Aries and Sag is very self focused but self mastery energy that I’m not sure he’s developed yet and even so would incline him even more to chase.
