Harsh North Node aspects in Synastry 💔
Hard aspects like squares to the North Node can indicate skipped past life lessons for the North Node and planet individuals. If there is a square to the North Node there is likely to be a square to the South Node as well. A couple can have more than one North Node square at a time in a chart which can give the connection a heavy karmic feel of resonance and deja vu, as squares have a magnetic and fated energy to them and the feelings they invoke are not always pleasant. Because of this the couple may eventually overtime or if not sooner begin to play out the same scenarios or energies from previous incarnations that no longer are conducive to the connection this lifetime. The connection can play out in one or two ways they can energetically feel as though there is unfinished business or be completely oblivious as to why they are in the connection in the first place. Which can keep them both in a karmic loop, of separation and rekindling. We live in a world where trauma and healing is not a priority, gratification through superficial means, success, and keeping up of appearances take precedence over our mental, physical and spiritual health which in turn effect our inner and outer connections. If the connection with the self and the spirit is broken it is impossible for any connection to sustain. Certainly not a positive and healthy one. If you can acknowledge yourself you can be able to see and acknowledge the unhealthy pattens within your connections and how you may have energetically contributed good, bad, or indifferent. For contextual purposes the following aspects below to the North Node are to personal planets which hold the most significance as we are the most influenced energetically and spiritually by them. The Sun (Leo) is our ego and is connected to how we view and feel about ourselves it is our inner light that we project out into the world. The Moon (Cancer) is connected to our inner emotions and how we project and protect them. Venus (Libra) is connected to how we experience romance and deal with our financial matters. Mercury (Gemini, Virgo) is connected to communication, how we process information and our day to day interactions with others. Mars (Aries) is how we assert ourselves, or go after the things or people we want or desire, how we fight, and our *** drive. Saturn (Capricorn) is where we feel restricted, what holds us back, our karmic lessons and duties. Pluto (Scorpio) is connected to transformation, rebirth, death, merging our energies and finances and our shadow. As I explained earlier the reason for squares to the Nodes have to do with skipped lessons from a past lifetime, for both individuals. To see the lesson look at the house placements of the Node and planet as well as aspects to the personal planets for what the lesson may be. It is worth noting that being in a past life, fated, and or karmic connection does not mean you are to tolerate abuse, disrespect, avoidant, narcissistic, or hurtful and demeaning behavior, all in the name of clearing or rectifying relationship debt. Some connections are just too much to handle energetically, financially, mentally, spiritually, and sometimes physically. I do not condone or advise anyone to stay in a toxic or abusive connection, which is why self love and continuous healing work is so important.
☀️Sun square North Node- The Sun person is stuck in their ways and reluctant to learn the lessons that life and the connection with the North Node is trying to teach them. They can be very superficial, stubborn, materialistic and selfish in the connection. In a past life there were hard feelings, power struggles and unwillingness to compromise. The lesson this lifetime is for them both to learn equal give and take and that it does not take away from them or make them a weak person for letting their guard down and being vulnerable. The North Node person can learn how this behavior can hold a person back and can feel like the Sun person is stoic and stuck in their ways and can also see through the Sun person how far they have come from that type of energy.
🌙Moon square North Node- The Moon person may be emotionally cut off or too clingy. The Moon person's emotional responses or lack their of can cause blockages on the North Node person's path as they will continuously have to divert their energy from their mission to tend to the Moon person. The Moon person's emotional nature can show the North Node person what they have not acknowledged within themselves or where they have been neglecting their own emotions. In a past life the Moon person may have felt neglected or were unable to express themselves for fear of ridicule or judgement. The lesson this lifetime to learn how to be each others safe space in a healthy way.
💓Venus square North Node- The Venus person may have had their heart broken by the North Node person in a past life. With this aspect the same scenarios tend to play out again this lifetime. With the Venus person over giving, overextending, and chasing the Node person and the connection, or rejecting the connection and what they feel for the Node person altogether. They may be more concerned about ownership and control of the Node person and getting commitment from them than actually learning how to be a good partner and friend. This connection may feel forced or rushed. And The North Node person may feel reluctant to commit because of this, they may have a hard time trusting the Venus person or feel committing to the Venus person will hold them back from their mission. This connection triggers insecurities on both sides. The North Node's eventual retreat or rejection of the connection will trigger Venus's self love journey and force the North Node to ask themselves what connection and love really means for them.
🧠Mercury square North Node- In a past life there were communication issues and in this lifetime is no different. There is a constant bumping of heads and not being able to see eye to eye on even the smallest things. The Mercury person can feel misunderstood by the North Node person or feel like the Node person acts intellectually inferior or like a smarty pants. While the Node person can feel like the Mercury person lacks foresight and common sense. This can spark arguments and energetic discord as both individuals feel like they are never understood or can get on the same page. The lesson for both is patience and to try their best to see each others point of view.
⚔️Mars square North Node- Because of the Mars person's reckless actions in a past life this may have resulted in serious injury to the Node person. Because of this the Node person may not fully trust the Mars person and may be triggered by how they assert their energy. Depending on the Mars person's sign their energy could have been passive or aggressive, but either way their action or inaction resulted in betrayal or physical injury. The Mars person could have also been an enemy to the Node person. Or their connection could have been competitive which resulted in the Mars and or Node person getting hurt. In this lifetime there is passion but also power struggles, control issues and competitiveness between them that need to be addressed. The Node person can find the Mars person's behavior off putting and this can trigger responses or behaviors in them they feel they have outgrown or trying to move away from. The lesson this lifetime is that you are lovers not opponents. When you make the focus on maintaining control and power there are no winners. Love, patience, forgiveness and humility will be beneficial on the road to healing this connection.
⌛Saturn square North Node- Saturn is a road block or detergent to the Node person. Saturn’s influence in the connection is somehow a hinderance to the North Node’s purpose or journey this life time. Saturn is the planet of limitations, restrictions, hard work and contracts. And the North Node is our soul’s purpose and what is going to bring us fulfillment and happiness this lifetime. Being in the connection with the Saturn person somehow keeps the Node person from going forward toward their North. It could be Saturn’s attitude, Saturn’s behavior, or Saturn’s lack of support for the Node person. The Node person has to learn to stay true to themselves in the connection, and keep moving forward no matter what is going on with the Saturn person or what they say or do. As the Saturn person can cast doubt or insecurity in the Node person, but the Saturn person is just projecting. Pluto square North Node- When someone's Pluto is square your Nodes this connection will be transformational for the both of you. Pluto is learning a lesson in release of control and the Node is learning a lesson in what happens when you let Pluto hold the power. Pluto and the Nodes are both points of transformation and growth, so it is guaranteed that they both will never be the same after their interaction. This connection is the epitome of karmic, and once the lessons have been learned on one or both sides, it ends just as quickly as it begins. Pluto/Node connections are not permanent and are literally just a lesson. The exception is multiple solid Saturn placements (on both sides) in the synastry and the composite.
