The prompt is Small Family from the @bt-novempreg bingo card above!
This is my first time taking part in a fandom event bingo, so I'm going to try my best not to fall behind and get it all done in time!

Chapter 1: Small Family
There were discoloured shapes dotted along the painted living room wall, family photos missing from their places to be laid out on the dining room table. Buck fiddled with the little metal tabs trying his hardest to get the backs off. He just wanted to spend his day off doing housework and ending up staring at the family photo wall for an hour straight trying to figure out what was wrong. He told himself they needed updating.
He finally got the back off of the one he was holding and took out the picture, it was of Tommy, Skylar and himself at the beach taken when they first took Sky. It was such a fond memory, they placed her tiny toes in the sand and she did a full body scrunch, the laughter the two men shared over it still rang clear in his mind.
He couldn’t replace this photo, it was too dear, what was he thinking?
Buck quickly placed it back in the correct way up and closed the clasps he’d spent the last ten minutes trying to pry open. He looked around at all the other pictures and dropped his head in his hands groaning.
Shaking his head, recollecting himself, he grabbed his phone to check his baby monitor app. The screen lit up showing his sleeping daughter, not having moved an inch from when he last checked her thirty minutes prior.
There was just this restless feeling under his skin, one that he’s had ever since Skylar turned two a few months back. She’s growing so quick, it felt like only yesterday he was laying in a hospital bed with her draped across his chest.
Looking back at the photos again he spotted one of him and Maddie on his wedding day. His big sister’s smile shone so bright.
He wished Skylar had a sibling.
The thought hit him so hard he straightened his posture and looked around like there was someone there in the glow of the kitchen light that could read his thoughts. Was that what was scratching at his brain every night?
The sound of the front door closing made him jump, wiping away the dazed feeling of his realisation. A soft thud hit the floor and sock covered footsteps approached him.
Tommy rested his hands on Buck’s shoulders, leaning over to kiss the top of his head, “Honey, I’m home.” He mumbled into his husband’s curls.
Looking up at him, Buck swivelled slightly in his chair, “How was your shift?”
He saw Tommy’s eyes scan over the table, his brows furrowing, “It was good, what’s all this?” He pulled out the seat next to Buck and sat down slowly.
“Well, it was bothering me all day and I thought they needed an update, but then I couldn’t bring myself to change most of the photos,” Buck paused, breathing in, “I know it’s stupid and I should put them back, it just got me thinking and ya’know.”
Tommy moved to catch Buck’s eyes, “Know what?” He took Buck’s fidgeting hands in his own steady ones, “Whatever it is, I know it can never be stupid coming from you.”
Buck took his hands back to pick up one of the frames and handed it to the older man, “Do you feel like something is missing?”
His eyes grazed over the picture before him, it was taken a few months ago, they were at the zoo with Skylar and were given the opportunity to feed the giraffes. At the time, one of the zoo keepers was kind enough to take the photo for them.
The pilot scratched his stubbled cheek, deep in thought trying to see what his beloved saw, but he was stumped. In defeat he shrugged his shoulders, “I don’t know, babe. Do you think there’s something missing?”
Buck sighed, taking the frame back, “It’s nothing.”
He stood up and gathered the pictures in his arms to take back into the living room.
A worried expression flooded Tommy’s features, he got up quickly tailing Buck, “Hey, no, talk to me, what is it?”
One by one, the pictures were returned to their rightful spots on the wall, “I told you, it’s nothing.”
He hung the last one when he felt hands land on his hips and twist him around, coming face to face with Tommy. His brow was furrowed more deeply than it was in the kitchen and his eyes sharp.
“Tell me, Evan, you can tell me anything that’s bothering you, it’s quite literally my duty as your husband.” His eyebrows raised from their furrowed position and eyes widened in a quiet plea.
Buck avoided his gaze, burying his face in Tommy’s neck and groaned. His arms snaked around his torso, needing to feel as close as humanly possible.
“Are you happy with the size of our little family?” He mumbled into Tommy’s clothed shoulder.
Not quite hearing what he said, he pushed Buck away from him slightly, forcing their eyes to meet again, “Am I happy with our family?” He laughed, “Of course I’m happy with our family, did something happen to make you think I’m not?”
Buck, for what felt like the hundredth time that evening, groaned again, “I don’t think you’re getting what I’m saying here, Tommy.”
Confused, Tommy cocked his head like a puppy, “Okay, what am I not getting? Because I’m starting to feel a little confused with this conversation.”
He managed to draw a giggle out of Buck, he couldn’t help it when his big, strong firefighter-pilot husband had his himbo moments. He grabbed either side of his face and felt as Tommy’s hands slid down lower on his hips. God he loved that perfectly sculpted face, he was an adonis, no wonder his daughter is so beautiful when she has a father like Tommy.
He wondered what their next child would look like. He wouldn’t even be mad if their kid came out like a mini Tommy again, he was over the moon when Skylar was born and she was his little clone. He sighed dreamily, he couldn’t take it anymore, he wanted another child.
“How would you feel about having just one more baby?” Buck asked, “Because I know we’re not young but we’re not old either, so two kids would be the perfect number,” he started to ramble, “two would mean they always have each other, I really want Skylar to have a sibling and I know we said we would keep our family small, especially because of our jobs-”
“Evan.” Tommy tried to interrupt.
“Our free time is limited as is, but you did say you wanted to limit your hours and you could always take that teaching job that you’ve been thinking about and-”
“Evan!” He said a little louder, stopping Buck in his rambling tracks and stunning him into silence, “Yes!”
Buck’s smile started to creep up on his face, “Yes? As in yes to having another baby?”
Tommy closed the short distance between them and captured Buck’s lips in a soaring kiss, “Yes, let’s have another baby.” He said against his lips, slipping his hands under Buck’s ass and lifting him suddenly. Buck yelped in surprise, laughing hard.
“You wanna start now?” Buck flirtatiously questioned and Tommy started to walk in the direction of their bedroom.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” He lustfully grunted in Buck’s ear before kicking the door open and swiftly closing it behind them.
