No hace falta decir nada
"Anywhere, anywhere with you
Tell me when, I'll be there, there
We'll make it up, I don't care what we do
Anywhere, anywhere..."
You're my bittersweet heart But you tear me apart You're so cold Your shivering down my spine Closer than an inch from my life Adrenaline in my bones Just another hit and I'm home

Getting to Know...
PLYA.
London trio PLYA allow their distinct, potent voices to fuse into one. Debut track 'Thinking Of You' was a glistening, effervescent depiction of longing, the moment the hype truly clicked into place.
Potent and sharply defined, PLYA allow their alt-pop vision to expand a little on new EP Still In Love. Out now, it found their musicality broadening in refreshing directions, touching on some personal aspects.
Taken from the EP, 'Fever' offers something minimal while letting lush emotional resonance flow through. A new video has been pieced together, utilising the flowing dance interpretation of Laetitia Lawrence.
We had a chat with PLYA about the video for ‘Fever’, Still In Love, the groups orgins and more. Read the Q&A below.
What brought the three of you together and make you want to start this project? “We’ve all known each other for years and in the past have been in other musical projects together. We booked a trip out to L.A for most of the summer of 2017 and were lucky enough to crash at a friend's place in Marina Del Rey. That whole month was life affirming and we wrote so many songs together. It was so surreal living and breathing the L.A lifestyle. It was like being in a movie together and our first EP was totally inspired by driving around the chaotic, sprawling, neon kissed city.” How would you describe your sound? Who/what are your biggest influences? “Picture our sound as dreamy electronic textures, driving guitars and anthemic melodies. In terms of musical influences we sound like a mash-up of London Grammar, K-flay, Phantogram and BANKS.“ You recently released the video for 'Fever'. What was the inspiration behind the track and it's visuals? “As soon as we finished writing ‘Fever’ we knew we wanted to create a Music Video to compliment the minimal sounding beat. We messaged a dancer friend, Laetitia Lawrence, with the track to see if she was into it and she came straight back to us with a few dance & movement ideas. It was amazing to see our song being interpreted creatively in such a different way. We knew instantly that those movements would be the backbone of the video. Throwing in the blindfold was something we wanted to add to the narrative to incapsulate self reflection.” 'Fever' is taken from your recently released Still In Love EP. What's the EP about and what do you hope listeners will take away from it? “We set out to write an EP that explores different states of emotions, from love and self reflection to desperation. The songs are based on feelings that can heal you, break you down but ultimately make you feel alive. All the tracks were written about one particular fiery relationship you know isn't good for your health but at the same time you just can't do without. That internal battle of whether this person is ruining your life or completing it. “As songwriters we ultimately hope that listeners find some personal connection to the songs. So I guess the main thing to take away from the EP is to testify that things can only get better once you’re feeling your worst, and accepting that sometimes it takes a while to reach the turning point in order to self-reflect. It’s using that hurt, pain and despair to make you stronger.” Finally, what's next for PLYA?
“We’re fresh off stage from a show last week with Finnish singer-songwriter ALMA at the Camden Electric Ballroom! The audience was amazing so it totally got us buzzing to play more shows! We’ve got a few things in the pipeline that we can’t announce yet so best to keep an eye on our socials (@PLYAband) to keep up-to-date.”
Still In Love is out now.
