In case anyone is writing a fanfiction rn, here are some little known details/theories about explorers of Sky:
1. The hero of the story was passed out on the beach for roughly 16+ hours from night to sundown.
2. The human turned Pokémon already knew Pokemon language before they came to the past. This is implied because the hero doesn’t comment on how odd it is that they understand Pokémon.
3. Wigglytuff is the one who conducts the personality quiz and is also suspected of dropping the Relic Fragment that your partner finds. They also create the aura bow that forms during the quiz.
4. The dark future is anywhere between 100-150 years into the future, as the Passage of Time is used to span many generations.
5. Grovyle is the one speaking in all of the cutscenes, as the voice is unrecognizable to the hero.
6. The Passage of Time leads to the past, while the Demensional Hole leads to the future
7. Arceus brings back the Pokemon of the future, while Dialga brings back the Hero in the past.
No partner, I thought we could just take a nice stroll inside of this dark crater since it’s such a nice day out-OF COURSE HE’S WAITING FOR US HE INVITED US HERE!!!!!
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, I don’t think Darkrai knows the real reason behind this. I think the human protagonist is transformed into a Pokémon for a few interconnected reasons:
1.**To Save the Pokémon World:** The primary reason for the transformation is tied to the mission of saving the Pokémon world from temporal distortions and the eventual collapse of time. The protagonist was chosen by the Legendary Pokémon Dialga (or more specifically, its future form, Primal Dialga) to prevent this catastrophe. Another theory is that this is tied into “Bidoof’s Wish,” where he asks Jirachi for a friend or two to mentor at the guild. I don’t think Bidoof’s wish caused the destruction of time itself, but rather the transformation of the hero into a Pokemon. This may have even saved the hero’s life as well.
2. **Partnering with the Future Partner**: The protagonist's transformation into a Pokémon allows them to partner with their future Pokémon partner. This partnership is crucial as both the protagonist and their partner are needed to restore Temporal Tower, thereby saving time itself.
3. **Loss of Memory**: The transformation also results in the protagonist losing their memory. This happens in almost every Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series (except for Gates to Infinity for whatever reason,) but it serves to create a sense of mystery and discovery as the hero uncovers their purpose.
I think that the attack by Darkrai is an additional layer to the story, since it creates conflict and adds to the mystery of the Hero’s transformation. However, the transformation's deeper purpose is intertwined with the mission to save the Pokémon world and the necessity of forming a partnership to achieve this goal. In this essay, I will
