Pod-Together: The Locked Tomb Fandom
Hey there, writers and podficcers of the Locked Tomb fandom!
Pod-Together, "a challenge where writers and podficcers create together—the writer creating text specifically intended for audio, and the podficcer creating the audio," is coming up and I would love to use it as an opportunity to celebrate The Locked Tomb as a fandom.
This idea came about last weekend, when I was asking for people to write a pitch for the Locked Tomb fandom that I could then record for a pitch-me-your-fandom mini-podcast. Within less than 16 hours @lady-harrowhark and @liesmyth wrote two texts that were brilliant and funny and vastly different from each other. Which makes me think that there is potential for so much more!
With more time to brainstorm and write, with more people bringing in their ideas and with more podficcers working together to create the audio, I believe that this can become an amazing project. (Or multiple projects, really.)
It doesn't have to be restricted to fandom pitches specifically. It could be meta, it could be scripts, it could be elaborate shitpost-type things,... Anything that highlights the variety, fun and sheer unhingedness of our fandom.
Sign-ups for Pod-Together close on June 10th and the event runs until September. You can find all information about it on the Pod-Together dreamwidth.
This is mostly a post to gauge interest in this and to see if people want to sign up as a group. So, if you'd like to join in or if you have any questions, let me know either in the notes or in my DMs/asks!
(And of course, if you'd like to participate in Pod-Together in a more traditional story-centered way or for other fandoms... there's room for all of that. It's possible to be part of multiple groups and/or to sign up alone and be matched by the mods based on interests.)
