Dear Journal...📒 Dear Journal how have you been? I haven’t written in here since I was a teen It’s been a while, how am I? Truth be told I’m about to cry The ink I write is mixed with tears Every time I come to you lend an ear Is it wrong to come to you only when I’m sad? Or so utterly messed up I might as well be mad? How do you cope with my secrets in your spine? Is it hard to comprehend the truths on every line? Am I crazy or insane for how I feel? If you keep my secrets, can I heal? A Pen mightier then a Sword A boy walked to school with a pen in hand Writing words and poetry across the land Not many read the words he wrote Not many knew him in his blue coat Quiet and shy, but kind once known Offer a smile and he won’t feel alone But one day that smile was used to trick His heart and soul were used and kicked Since that day he’s not the same His heart is filled with the fear of maim That pen is not used to write no more But as a weapon in his sleeve to go to war Stab the eye, that’s the plan Should someone so much as lay a hand He will not go quiet, not without a fight How he misses the time he would simply write By Me 🤴🏻💔 . Sol Pt. I .
. Everyone knows the story of Noah’s Ark But no one questions why the world was washed apart For men had defied God’s ways, There was sin and corruption night and day Such time has passed and humans have come far With every trial comes a new scar Such a person was re-born from such a wound His charming voice is one I’d try to tune into For he is my confidence and all self love But its hard to hear like someone far above He jumps and flips through the air So much energy to be spared He takes me to places I never had seen Places in my mind I never would dream He’d always smile and cheer me on But I never listened to him for very long He’s wonderful, funny, a beautiful hue Like a big brother, or someone to look up to So much I could do if I only listened To this sweet special boy who makes me glisten Perhaps my heart would have been better protected Had I listened to his warnings and been left to rejection As that demon took me in his jaws My confidence shouted but I did not pause He sent a flare of warning that shaked me to my core I dismissed it as nerves because I wanted more It’s venom poisonous, but vicious in its delight But my confidence went dim with the light As venom sucked my dry My confidence said goodbye As the demon rejoiced in glee I cried out in a echoing plea Broken, shattered and all alone For he was gone, I was on my own By Me 🤴🏻💔 . . .
