🕳️ the places we don’t speak of, but live in anyway
There’s a quiet part of you that already knows.
It’s the part that notices the space between heartbeats when no one else is listening. The part that stayed quiet for too long, until silence became the safest kind of prison. You didn’t choose that silence. But somehow, it chose you… again and again.
And maybe now—right now—you’re beginning to un-choose it.
There’s a girl—not you, but someone you’ve met in dreams. She walks into a forest seeking peace. But instead of trees, she finds mirrors. Each mirror reflects a version of her:
– The Caretaker who never asked for care. – The Achiever who feared she’d be forgotten. – The Good Girl who waited for permission she never needed.
She could run. She could break the mirrors. But instead, she leans in… and whispers: “I see you.”
And in that moment, every reflection softens—because integration doesn’t scream. It breathes.
a poem that wanted to be remembered:
i disappeared inside roles nurse, lover, protector, fixer a name for every need except my own i burned slow like candlelight in a room no one entered waiting for the sentence: “you can rest now.” but no one said it so i learned to say it to myself
Let your mind wander for a moment…
Because as your conscious thoughts drift, your unconscious mind is opening like soft soil. And in that soil, there’s a seed you planted long ago— The desire to live fully. To feel everything and still be safe. To give without vanishing.
And maybe you’re already remembering that you can.
Because you’re not asking for too much. You’re simply remembering how much you are.
a story (but maybe it’s not a story at all):
There was a woman who gave everything. Time. Sleep. Even her voice. She sat by someone she loved as they faded from this world. She held his hand the way she wished someone would hold hers.
She realized she didn’t want to just be the one who stayed strong. She wanted to be seen. To be received. To be allowed to be held, not just hold.
And now, every part of her that had waited… finally exhaled.
Let that exhale happen now.
Because you don’t need to earn rest. You don’t need to apologize for feeling. And you don’t have to prove your worth through pain.
From this moment forward, the part of you that doubted… can gently begin to trust again. Because you already know:
The fire doesn’t burn out when it’s protected. It burns brighter.
