Angst [ by Sin ]

I smile, but that smile hides sadness, and it slowly fades away

And that wretched feeling of despair comes too often, as if it's meant to stay

Pacing my apartment, thoughts pound my achy head

Why do I get this anxious feeling, what is it that I dread?

Is it the vulnerability of trusting someone with something so unique and mine?

Or is it that i know delusions can sometimes make you trust lies, pretending all is fine?

I can't quite shake this notion, that somethings just not right

Should I count on intuition or is my response not to flee but fight?

I guess the only way to know if i should go, is to break the walls, just give in

And I may finally discover where all this angst is coming from, why it lies within.

Note to Self

Don't fool yourself into believing in your own illusions

When you're the last thing on someone's mind

Lingering feelings can cause you heartache and confusion

Best to go quietly and leave it all behind

Don't ask for the reasons and dont ask for goodbyes

To make amends is not a reason to keep trying to stay
