say what you want about the english dub, but present mic saying that he's a "city kitty" is the most delightfully gay thing i've ever heard.

let’s not bash a character we’ve yet to play as.

guys, fucking relax about dammek. he’s not “irredemable” or “evil”- he’s a just a shitty friend. that’s nothing new in hussie’s writing; i’d even go so far as to argue dirk was a worse friend to jake than dammek is to xefros, and dirk is my favorite character. here’s a concept, guys: it’s realistic for teenage characters to be socially inept jerks.

as an aside, i think everyone is so busy being buttmad about dammek’s relationship with xefros that they’re ignoring some important parallels. don’t you guys think the similarities between jude and dammek might have some significance to joey’s character development? jude seems to place a lot of importance on his conspiracy theories, and dammek seems to do the same with rebelling against the government. they both make some childish decisions that put their counterparts in trouble.

frankly, the problem might be just as much with dammek as it is with xefros- the inherent power imbalance between them doomed their moirailigence from the start. xefros has used his “rank” in society as justification for dammek overstepping his boundaries. He’s internalized his class to the point where it’s destroyed his self-respect. dammek has pushed too far, but xefros enabled that by failing to say “no” to his friend.

i guarantee you, dammek will learn his lesson; he now has to work with jude to escape, and while jude is cowardly, he is by no means a pushover. dammek will have to duke it out with someone who is on equal footing with him. jude has more control of this new situation- it’s his home planet. this means that dammek will invetiably have to follow the instructions of someone else rather than issue them himself. 

it’s kind of apt that both of the trolls are being forced to work with people who will challenge their behavior- xefros is working with someone who forces him to stand up for himself, and dammek is working with somebody who has a stronger will and who is even in a slight position of power over him.

i also wouldn’t be so quick to hate on a character that you’ll have to play as for most of the next installment of the game.

What is a spat?

a piece of white fabric that goes on top of dress shoes. they were popular in the late 19th century, and are kind of like the shoe equivalent to a monocle.

robbie rotten wears spats, which is where i imagine the headcanon that tagora wears them came from. they’re a good way to make a character look flamboyant and old-timey.
