Still don't like The Tribe. 🤣
Still think Shane's character has the most depth, even more so than Edgar's. And they didn't give Edgar as much original dialogue as he deserved. Also, it would have been funnier per one of the vampires being a fan of The Big Lebowski, if Edgar was ordained as a Dudeist Priest, literally killing vampires with the power of The Dude.
Missed opportunity. They also ordain online. But I suppose it would be more of holy White Russians vs. holy water.
Shane cribbed lines from David, too, but the rose scene, some of his reflections on life and death... those were fun.
The storyline is very close to the original, aside from half-vampire number two who rescues the girl, knowing they're becoming a vamp when it happens and doing it strategically. Which, like, HOW did he suss out Shane was the head vampire, again?
This time, I was incredibly distracted by how Angus Sutherland spoke, as Shane, even Googling to see if he had spent significant time overseas moving place to place and maybe had a mixed accent. But it looks like he grew up in Los Angeles?
But... the hair. And the alluringly-toxic boyfriend vibes. And pretty like a girl. Totally my type. Hell freaking yeah.
The rest of those surfer vamps, though. DESPISE them.
