Pokémon Box: Ruby & Sapphire - Brigette
Happy 3rd anniversary xenoblade 3!
BTW, ive actually caught every form of unown in both fire red and leaf green, as well as in heart gold, but in Leaf Green I transfered them all into my copy of Pokémon Box Ruby and Sapphire (physical copy of the Americam version (yea)) and used the display mode to write a bunch of little messages with my unowns! Super fun to do!
Blurb for Pokémon Box. The end states a suggested retail price of $19.99, though nowadays it costs a bit more than that.

my haul from @shiftythrifting! this was their pokemon box and i love all of it- especially the book! god that takes me back, i used to have all of those little books when i was a kid.
also the "hot shrimp salad" recipe had me cackling bc on most other websites and discord my username is "agayshrimp" XD
You're telling me that pokemon box's adventure mode wont work when using the game with Nintendont allllll because of a stinky little memory chunk that gets written to a slightly different place when its running on the wii?
Well that really grinds my Klingklang
I hate that thing where people dismiss the phenomena of seeing something new and then noticing it.
So I was watching a random Linus tech tips livestream from a year ago, and I remembered a hoodie of theirs I liked but couldn't afford from years ago. This was independent of the video and no one in the vid mentioned it or was wearing it. I go to check it, can't find it, go back to watching the video. Few minutes later I pause the video again and go to the store and look at a random collection looking for something else, and I find the jacket I was originally looking for. The description talks about the type of fabric and how some people don't like it, and list the type: french terry. I then look it up, and learn about it but nothing significant. 2 minutes later, they're talking with chat and mention the EXACT same hoodie and the type of fabric. This hoodie is old, this livestream is from years later, and I don't research fabrics often. This shit happens all the time but everyone just says it's your mind being stupid, that it only notices it because it's new, but it never is.
More concrete recent example. I am a big pokemon fan. I know significantly more than is healthy, and know niche things within niche things. An unnecessarily large amount of my mind is taken up with information about small fictional animals instead of things like car repair or tax laws. This extends to pretty much all aspects of the entertainment property (except the card game), and it's rare to see something I either don't already know or that isn't extremely obscure. And I notice when I see a pokemon thing irl, and actively search for them often. So a few weeks ago, when I learnt about an entire piece of software I had never heard about (pokemon box, basically a gamecube disc that let you transfer and store massive amounts of your pokemon between gba games and the gamecube games, basically like pokemon home but for the 2000's and only RSE and gamecube games) that is insanely rare. Basically, of the 280000 units sold, 270000 were japanese. I also never had a gamecube, or got into gamecube stuff, so I had no idea it existed before then. It was definitely the first time I've heard of it or seen it. Then the next week, I'm in a used game/computer shop, browsing as I normally do. I go to the counter to pay, and on a shelf, on proud display, was a copy of that game. Within a week. I know I would have noticed it at any other point or if I had seen it elsewhere. This shit happens to me constantly and because I try to explain it to people in 1 sentence instead of this incomprehensible wall of text, I sound insane. But it happens all the time and I feel like I'm going insane over it.
No real point here other than to document my madness for potential psychologists.
