I DESPERATELY want to be reborn as a child in the distant future in a place where the history of the US is taught JUST so I can take a history class to hear how this is all taught to them. Bc Stanzi did a skit on Trumpet's term being taught to kids in the future & it made me realize that ALL OF THIS IS ACTUALLY, GENUINELY HISTORICAL CONTENT EQUIVALENT TO SOMETHING LIKE WATERGATE & KIDS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE EXAMS ON THIS INFORMATION IN THE FUTURE AND I JUST NEED TO SEE THIS HAPPEN IN PERSON AFTER IT IS ALL DONE! 😂

today’s (jan. 21, 2018) study space☕️over my winter break i cleaned and redecorated my bedroom so now im actually able to use my desk! i just spent the last hour or so rewriting my Voting in America notes. next up is Severe Weather and Climate, then its onto Modern British History and my readings for History of the Black Atlantic! btw those lil guys are walt whitman and claude monet finger puppets :~)

If I can join in the Elswhere U fun...I'm a poli-sci major and I can safely say that we're the kind of idiots who try to weasel wishes out of the Fae. The poli-sci majors listen when the Others speak, and use the tricks they learn in their mortal politics. For good and ill, the twisted rhetoric of the Fae appears in our speeches. Only the best of us, who match wits with the Fae and survive, graduate unscathed and happy. As for the rest...well, there's a reason we think politicians are soulless.

Oh fuck me this is brilliant. To be frank I studdied english literature so this is a little outside my ballpark but I really really love the idea of this one major in particular that does very little melodramatic bullshit in college but does bring everything they’ve learned into their real-world career, for better or worse. And goddamn anon, the hook at the end of this ask... I salute you

Campus is cold and a little dreary today, but I wouldn’t have it any other way; j’aime le monde un peu morne.  I spent today reading Thucydides and thinking about powerful eloquence is, comment inspirant et comment destructrice.

oh, who? me? yeah. i just took an elections and public policy midterm and all the questions i wanted were on the exam!!! feels really damn good. now i’m cramming readings that were due today… oops. speed reading Rousseau with hot cocoa
