Daphne, the youngest person to be chosen to become a nymph on Domin. The previous Nymph of Sparx had become gravely weakened and the previous Nymph of the Dragon’s Flame passing during the fight against Darkar. Despite the controversy over making the eldest daughter of Sparx’s rulers the next nymph, she was allegedly chosen by her predecessor. At age 13, she was given the Dragon’s Flame and started training, preparing for the day she is to take on the title as Nymph of the Dragon’s Flame in full.
In turn for being chosen as the next nymph, she was raised away from the court in turn for focusing on the people and their spiritual practices. As nymph, she is the representative of the people of the kingdom for the rest of the Dimension. This ends up limiting her duties as princess and annuls her claim to the throne.
Politea is only the second recognized nymph of Erato, her home kingdom. For centuries prior, Erato had little contact with the kingdoms on land, the people preferring solitary from the land. Politea was appointed to become nymph by the queen due to her originally raised to become a diplomatic figure by her mother. Given, her training started when she was 18, during her third year of Alfea. While still being young, it was a point of contention between her and Daphne, partially stemming from a sense of inferiority on Politea’s end. To her, Daphne was everything she’s expected and struggling to become.
Both were titled nymph at 29, sharing their ceremony with each other. In part, it was to show the strong alliance between the two kingdoms, but also because they saw each other as the reason they reached this point. Daphne was someone who forced Politea to become a better version of herself and Politea was the one who kept Daphne grounded in a version of herself that wasn’t just tied to her duties. Both are people the other holds precious to their heart.
