Five times Merlin lost his magic while waiting for Arthur's return, and one time he got it back.
Cordy is a lovely writer (and person) who I normally see in my other fandom so had to stop and have a look at this one. It's very poignant but ultimately hopeful and of course very well written.

This is actually a lot sweeter than the summary suggests. And the title is Bowie so that always wins with me.

This is a wonderful long read with fabulous world-building, and the art is beautiful (sadly some of the links in the actual fic aren't working at the moment, but the link above will take you to the art). And I am always there for Arthur getting a dragon!

Summary: At 2 am, Aredian pulls Merlin from his bed.
Comments: There’s a few Witchfinder fics out there, but I liked this one for a few reasons. One, Morgana is awesome in this one. She’s the true hero of the story, and watching her accept her magic is wonderful. The other is Merlin’s heartbreaking sentiment when he’s dragged away - no one stood up for Gais, so he doesn’t expect help either.
Who thought it was a good idea to let me read In Spite of Everything The Stars because now I am an actual emotional mess and I don't even want to talk about it.

This fic is so beautiful and so painful and so lovely and sweet and horrific all at the same time and my brain and heart cannot take it, ok?
Now, if you don't mind I am going to listen to emotional music and cry until I remember that this was a work of fiction and as such should not reduce me to an inarticulate pile of feelings. Lol j/k I'll be crying myself to sleep and it is entirely the fault of this fic and the ARTWORK which I haven't mentioned before because I cAN'T. Ok? Ok.

Comment: As Colin Morgan is on stage at the moment, I thought it would be a great time to read this. It’s really sweet and I like that Arthur is there to provide and escape and comfort for Merlin and it’s nice to see the very beginning of their relationship. And I can relate to Merlin’s dislike of being surrounded by a huge number of people!
