A lovely little friend out on the prowl! Looks like a bronze ground beetle, Carabus nemoralis. They mostly eat slugs and slug eggs :)

I read your reblog on the pet post (about birds) and you said you make jewellery out of their feathers. I've been collecting budgie feathers for a while now and have no idea what to so with them, would you mind showing some pics of what you've done with them? thanks ❤️
Not at all! I tend to use my keets’ feathers as accent pieces over standalone, but have done a few where they were the featured feather backdropped by a larger one. These were all tagged by my old shop name - still in the process of updating things to the new name -
- I tend to favor pairing up the same feather type for earrings, and granted some are a bit hit-or-miss in final execution of the design.
I have a bunch of other feather stock earrings featuring pheasant, jay, duck, and various breeds of chicken on my etsy shop (until I can locate a fairer selling platform!) where some of my stock is still available for perusal - https://www.etsy.com/shop/mysticaviary
...I may or may not have asked this before but do you have Finnish roots or does your surname mean oak in Finnish by coincidence? (if it even is your real name and not an artist name or whatever famous people's fake names are called in English)
It is Finnish! 😊 Most of my family emigrated from Finland and Sweden to the USA in the 1920s! Tammi means oak in Finnish!

Do geta with socks counts as socks with sandals?
Nah, geta with socks don’t count as sandals with socks because geta have always been meant to be worn with socks. It’s not a summer shoe that you stick a sock in like a dumbass instead of wearing a closed shoe. The geta are not functional without the thick sock. It’s meant to protect your feet both from the weather and from the shoe.
Also, traditional clothes are worn the way they are, usually pretty impractical, because of tradition. Not because it’s considered fashionable.
Do you have any funny stories about pets or just random animals?
well there was the one time where a flying squirrel landed on my brother’s chest while he was sleeping
