warnings; slight angst moment and fluff, a ridiculous amount.
It was cold and snowing for what felt like the millionth time. You and Michael hadn’t seen Calum in a while since every time you made plans the weather never permitted them.
You both missed him, a lot. Even snuggled under the covers with Michael something felt… missing.
“You okay babe?” Michael asked, knowing the look on your face.
“I miss cal” you admitted, sighing. He frowned at your words. You were sure he missed him too but at the moment you felt as though no one could miss him more than you.
Looking at Michael you saw a smile on his face “What if we ask him to come stay with us? The snow isn’t on the roads yet.”
Your face lit up at the idea, “Call him.”
The three of you had spent the night together before but it was normally unplanned when the 3 of you would stay out late or accidentally fall asleep.
So there the two of you were, waiting for Calum to pick up the FaceTime call. Both grinning from ear to ear, excited at the thought of seeing your boyfriend again.
He picked up and gave you both a look “Hey babes, you two look like your up to something.”
“Us? Never.” You giggled and rested your head on Michael's shoulder.
“We were hoping you’d maybe wanna spend the storm with us?” Michael asked, immediately getting nervous. “You don’t have to! We just miss you.” He added blushing.
“I’d love to, I’ll head over in a bit. If that’s okay?” Calum smiled as he spoke. He had wanted to ask himself but was afraid the two of you would say no.
“That’s good, we’ll see you soon. Be safe.” You spoke. The three of you finished your goodbyes and ended the call.
You and Michael got up to organize the apartment a bit and bring out some blankets to the couch until you heard a knock at the door.
The two of you practically ran to open it.
“Calum!” you jumped into his arms and he laughed, picking you up. “We missed you so much” you murmured into his shoulder.
Calum put you down “I missed you too, both of you. C’mere” he spoke softly as he wrapped the two of you in his arms. After a few moments, Michael spoke.
“It’s cold out here come on, we’ll get you settled” Michael pulled away from the hug and brought the two of you inside.
You lead Calum into the bedroom you shared with Michael, helping him get his things situated before dragging him to the couch to cuddle.
The two of you had finally invested in a couch big enough for the 3 of you to cuddle comfortably. Calum laid in the middle with you and Michael on either side of him, trying his best to give you both the attention you clearly needed.
“You two okay?” Calum asked quietly, stroking Michael’s hair and rubbing your back.
“Just missed you” you admitted
Calum pressed a kiss to your forehead before looking over to Michael who had passed out snuggled into his side.
It wasn’t much longer until you fell asleep, feeling at peace with both your lovers.
**
You woke to an empty couch and hushed voices in the kitchen. After taking a couple of minutes to wake up, you walked into the kitchen, wrapping your arms around Michael from behind.
“Hi honey, we were just about to check on you.” He turned to give you a kiss that you accepted happily.
“It’s cold in here” you spoke softly, still not fully awake.
Calum slipped off his hoodie before putting it on you, kissing you sweetly.
“Are you two hungry? I can cook for you.”
“We invited you over, you don’t need to.” Michael pointed out but Calum shook his head.
“I want to, let me take care of you while I’m here, please?”
His words made your heart sink a little, you tried not to think about the fact that Calum would be leaving after the snowstorm ended.
He picked up on the sudden drop in your mood, picking you up to keep you as close as possible.
“I’m right here.” He kissed your forehead, looking over to Michael confused as to what set you off. He mouthed to him “They don’t want you to leave.”
Calum felt a pang in his chest, holding you tighter. “We can talk about this later, okay? Let’s enjoy the time we have together now.”
You just nodded at his words and he put you down before pressing one more kiss to your lips.
Michael wrapped his arms around you from behind, providing the comfort he knew you needed.
“I’m gonna go shower.” You didn’t wait for a response, you weren’t mad but you just wanted to be alone.
Michael knew this and he stopped Calum from following you. Instead helping him start dinner, hopeful that it would lift your mood when the 3 of you were able to enjoy a meal together in person.
After taking a long shower, you padded through the hallway to find your boyfriends. You found them again in the kitchen, Calum was nuzzled into Michael’s chest and your heart swelled at the interaction.
You stood in the door way for a few minutes before Calum realized you were there and ushered you into the room.
“You feeling better baby?”
“A lot.”
“Dinner’s almost done, we made your favorite.” Michael spoke, kissing your cheek.
“You didn’t have to do that.”
“We kinda did baby, I’m still not confident that you would remember to take the pan out of the oven before pre-heating.” Both Michael and Calum laughed at his words
“It was one time!” You couldn’t help but laugh yourself, it was beyond you how you had forgotten to take it out. You blamed Calum for being distracting, but it probably wasn’t that.
The laughter died out as the 3 of you ate in a comfortable silence, the only noise being from the tv, playing a show nobody was watching.
“Thank you for this, I appreciate it.” you spoke softly, as not to disturb the silence too much.
“You don’t have to thank us angel.” Calum wrapped an arm around you as Michael collected your plates, putting them in the dishwasher, a problem to be visited later.
The rest of the night was spent catching up and keeping each other close. Before heading to bed Michael looked out the window and was met with snow covered roads.
“It’s pretty bad out there.” Both you and Calum came to look.
“That just means Cal has to stay longer” you said, smiling.
“Yeah? I hope it snows forever then.” Michael spoke softly, sometimes he still struggled to put his affection into words and Calum didn’t let it go unnoticed.
“I love you, both of you.” At Calum’s admission you hugged him tightly before Michael spoke.
“We love you too.”
The three of you curled up together in bed, exchanging soft touches, and sweet nothings with each other before finally passing out. Hoping the snow would last forever.
