Israel has bombed—and completely demolished—the Great Omari Mosque in Gaza, which is the second oldest mosque in Palestine. There was no purpose to bombing it. There was no advantage to targeting it. just a reminder - do NOT boycott streaming services or not watch new things. the unions have not called for one for a reason. for one, it affects residual payments, which as minimal as those currently are, actors are still getting them during this time, and for two, studios will use lack of viewership as an excuse to cancel shows because you are showing them there is no demand. it deeply affects the industry the writers and actors stand to come back to once the strike is over

i can't believe i'm even entertaining this comment for a second but you could not be more wrong if you fucking tried. one (1) percent of the actors in SAG are millionaire a listers. the rest are gig workers who even with some amount of name recognition often will work paycheck to paycheck and have second (and sometimes) third jobs to support themselves. you have to make approximately 26k a year to qualify for health insurance through SAG and only about TEN (10) percent are able to qualify every year. oh, and a lot of that hypothetical 26k is earned from residuals, which for streaming, the way most people watch their shows these days? is practically non existent.

actors are laborers and deserve to be paid a living wage for their work, full stop. if you stand against the actors, and the writers, you stand against all workers.
