Had another Daniel LaRusso whump thought.

What if: during a sparring match with Sam, she stops seeing her father and goes back to fighting with Tory. Daniel tried to get through to her, but she doesn’t seem to hear him. She kicks him in the face (jaw or forehead - bc, let’s be honest, she’s a fracking badass) which stuns him long enough for her to take out his legs (somehow) and get him on his back where she stands on his chest to keep him from moving.

It’s about this time that the trauma from the fight ebbs, and she sees her father once again. She’s horrified at what she’s done, immediately getting off him and kneeling next to him. “Dad?” she calls, unable to believe what she just did.

Daniel, who is just as stunned as Sam, doesn’t know what the heck just happened, but he does know that his daughter needs him. So, he slowly sits up, reassuring her that everything’s okay, that he’s okay.

Enter Johnny (always at the wrong moment, right?). He and Daniel are besties now and he’s there to pick Daniel up for some training or something. When he comes in, Sam flees to her room. Johnny then kneels next to Daniel, asking what happened and if he’s okay. Not two minutes later, Amanda comes in with the same questions. Daniel says he’s fine (he’s hurting, but fine) and Amanda goes inside to call Carmen, asking her to check on Daniel (she doesn’t want to deal with the questions the doctors would/might ask) and asks her to bring Miguel since she knows Sam needs a friend.

When Abuela is told where the other two are going, she insists on joining too. (This is gonna be fluffy, possibly with some Poly relationships going round with them all.) so, the three of them come, just as Johnny gets Daniel into the house and sitting on the couch. While Carmen checks on Daniel, Abuela fusses in Spanish over all of them, complaining they were all too thin, and goes and makes them a big meal (with Amanda, who in my mind can speak Spanish, helping.).

And...that’s all I got so far. Came up with the idea while trying to fall asleep so I didn’t get too far into it.

Ha I love talking about my folks bc they’re damn adorable.

So my parents (mom and dad) have been together since they were 15, they were absolutely obsessed with each other as kids. Like, my grandma had a rule that they had to spend at least one day of the week apart from one another because they were that close. Then they went to college far away from one another— my dad went to music school and my mom went to art school. They broke up/were kind of on and off/open a lot in college, and I know that my mom dated a lot of girls at that time (she’s said before that my dad is her “exception” lol); but they lived together during the summers. They got married right after graduating, then had kids and started careers in their 20s. Then, when I was like 6 or so, my dad met my stepmom at a work thing and was super into her; but at the time they were monogamous. Then he introduced her to my mom and she was also into her. They had a ton of Conversations about it, but eventually decided to try it all out, and they’ve all been together ever since (and I’m 20 now). They have a really functional and happy relationship and I’m glad I grew up with them all. They each have way too much energy and interests for them to just have one partner, I think. Like, my dad and stepmom love horror movies but my mom doesn’t; my mom loves to bake but my dad doesn’t eat carbs… yeah. I think I have a good attitude about relationships and like, the politics of it all (possessiveness, jealousy, communication, etc) and I think it’s because my parents weren’t afraid to live a little bit outside of the norm. My dad also has top tier Bi Wife Energy lol.

7) Who sneaks out to get a midnight snack?

Between Draxus and Fedralis: Draxus, before he died and all he used to be terrible about eating dinner so on days where he had to deal with bs he would get super hungry at night and just couldn’t help himself. The downside is he can’t cook so he can only eat stuff that is already made (Fedralis had started to put out snacks and things at night to help his boyfriend)

Between Tuganii and Lineaya: both, they both hate to walk across a cold floor alone at night so they always go together.

Between Rudaka, Undara, Toroka, and Urithion: Toroka, she actually sleep-eats more or less (and makes a mess of the pantry while she’s at it). The first time Urithion witnessed this he was so shook because he got up for some water, turned a corner and Toroka was on the floor, nomming with terrible hand-eye coordination on some bread (it’s always the bread with her).

Between Areaya and Jalar(the forgotten couple): In a perfect world, Jalar, see in a much happier world where they both got the chance to parent their daughters, Jalar would be the idiot dad who would see his kids sneaking to go get snacks and the join them. His logic would totally be “at least I can make them healthier food and make sure they don’t make a mess” instead of just stopping them.
