Hey, um, I have a question about poly terminology if that's okay? It's from a writing prompt so is there a name for this dynamic? A straight girl in love with a bisexual guy who’s in love with a gay guy who’s in love with a nonbinary ace who’s in love with the straight girl.

I don't think there's a specific term for this, because when drawn out, it looks like a "quad", but quads are usually formed of actual relationships, not just unrequited love in a square.

if anyone knows of a term for this, please share, but I'm not aware of one (and I've been poly for about 15 years!)

We might have met someone

We've been talking to a new women who lives pretty close to us she's smack in the middle of mine and my wife's age and she's super cute, impressively witty, and I cannot stop talking to her. We've talked for about 24 hours in the last 50 but have been talking for a few weeks. If my wife and I weren't dreadfully sick we would have already taken her out on a date. She seems really excited to meet us and we are definitely excited to meet her. I haven't seen my wife crush so hard before meeting someone in person it's really adorable. We have plans for a taco date because who tf doesn't love tacos.

Hoping next week we'll be feeling healthy enough to meet her. I really hope it goes well because based on talking to her it seems like she has a really good head on her shoulders. And she also seems like a very caring and compassionate person. And obviously she's extremely easy to talk to. I hope you guys wish us luck and assuming we get some of that luck I'm hoping to have a cute picture to post of the 3 of us soon. ♥️

Never Be Yours

"She'll never be yours." Words with such clarity burnt in my mind with a cattle prod and viscous intent. No one has ever belonged to me. Yet I have given myself away a thousand times to anyone kind enough to embrace me with genuine compassion. She would be scattered with the places the shreds of my heart have been left, abandoned and forgotten. I don't care if she or anyone else is ever mine, for it is not possesion I want. I want absolutely nothing but the ability to give as much of myself to whoever I want and to see them treasure every part they were gifted. So of course she'll never be mine. I would never ask her to be.
