Replies to my inability to play a video game
It’s much heavier on dialogue than most games, and once you get off Eden Prime, you have a bunch of walking-and-talking-to-people missions that may help get you used to the controls.
That is what I would like. More of the choose your own adventure dialogue stuff and less of me wandering aimlessly and fumbling like a crazy person to remember what keys do what...and then I get shot while I’m flailing.
I AM SO HAPPY I WASn’T THE ONLY ONE! My Shep has about the same sense of direction that I do in real life, and the frustration curve rocketed alarmingly high ^^;;
Yup, right there with ya. I literally wandered in a circle for about a half an hour and then stood in a swamp pouting. I just want them to like, I don’t know, light up the path you’re supposed to go or have the dialogue of the side characters actually help. I mean, it’s all well and good that you think Eden used to be a beautiful place, man, but how about you point me in the right direction I’m supposed to go instead.
The controls in the first game are… not great, though the pathfinding is a little better once you’re not on Eden Prime.
Yeah, I am not good at it. I think I need a better mouse though, mine is sad and glitchy. That’s good to know. I kept thinking I had reached the beacon and then nope, ya just missed it!
You can do iiit! I am the worst at video game controls, but it did get better eventually. And it’s SO WORTH IT. Yay!
Thanks, I’m glad it isn’t just me :0) I’m going to give it another try, but after I shake this horrible sinus headache.
Ha! Mass Effect 1 totes did that to me too…but I usually find that inverting the x and y axis on the cam controls helps.
Cool, thanks, I’ll give that a try.
Hahaha oh nuuu! Don’t give up, follow these people’s advice!
Hehe, I haven’t given up yet. I just got quite frustrated. I’ll certainly try again.
