I found this in my closet today and I laughed so hard that I cried. My 10 years old self wrote this in school when learning about human development in the womb. Either I wasn't paying much attention during this or the teaching was horrendous.
Did anyone else have like, no useful world history education in grade school?
I’m coming to the realization that I had no world history education past the Reformation basically, and even aside from that we mostly covered ancient Mesopotamia, Greece, and Rome, and the colonization of the Americas. Everything after that was framed as “US History” and we only learned things outside the US as were relevant to the (mainland) US (like for example we learned about WWI and WWII but not that they were related, or the situations that built up to them, or their aftereffects.)
I genuinely think my last world history class was in 7th grade. It's no wonder that I love reading about history on Wikipedia now: it's almost all new to me!
