Miss Pepper has suddenly developed a limp and is now in the pet carrier until her leg heals up so she'll actually rest up. She was very displeased by this and tried to escape as I was putting her up. I'm at least pleased that she's feeling well enough to struggle and be mischievous. I honestly had to wait until she went up for the night to catch her! So am hoping that means her prognosis is good.
We got a little wooden parakeet toy to put in there so she won't be as bored. It will be interesting to see if she actually plays with it while in chicken prison.
The weather is turning colder and nastier so I also need to set up the chain for the heat lamp for the coop. It's supposed to drop down into the 20s tomorrow night and it's raining tonight.
