One of my witchy friends gifted me a poppet with a set of pins a few years ago. If I use poppets it's mainly for myself such as healing, manifesting, etc. Never used them on other people. So, this one became a cute decoration piece and had them on my shelf. Along with the set of pins. I also gave it a dried piece of grain I had laying around. Even after all these years they still have that little smile on their face.

The pin is mightier than the sword...pins in dolls are reflective of the nails stuck into nkisi figures found in Africa. Child protection

So I was going to make a cuddly toy as a protection poppet for my kid soon because she’s just starting to carry them around with her. Then I remembered I have limited sewing skills so I thought I’d try and transform one of her current cuddlies into one, not as good as sewing it myself but better than not doing it. So I look into her crib to see what she has and there’s a lamb and a panda bear. Yeah. (Sigh) time to ‘upgrade’.
