I lowkey gave up on Poseidon 💔
Poseidon being a hater like always 💔
Waiting for Poseidon while he is at war.
The morning after a night that was a too little too hot, you woke up slowly your body aching in the best way possible.
You lay pressed against Poseidon, your arm draped across his chest . Your cheek rested against his shoulder while poseidon was already awake.
His pale blue eyes stared toward the ceiling, fingers resting loosely against your waist. You tightened your hold on him slightly.
“My lord…”
Poseidon glanced down.
“You’re staring again..”
He said nothing.
Then his hand moved, resting on the top of your head.
“There is a war council today.”
You sat up immediately.
“A war…?”
“The gods will move against an uprising in the outer seas.”
You grabbed his arm.
“You’re going.”
Poseidon sat up slowly.
“Yes.”
Your fingers tightened in the sheets.
“My lord… that could take weeks.”
He went out of the bed reaching for his clothes.
“I don’t like this”
Poseidon paused then he looked at you.
Those cold, piercing eyes softened only slightly.
You stood and walked toward him.
“What if something happens?”
Poseidon placed his hand on your head again, then he leaned forward and pressed a slow kiss to your forehead.
“Listen carefully.”
“Gods do not falter.”
His thumb brushed your cheek.
“Gods do not need allies. Gods do not need protection.”
He lifted your chin slightly.
“Because…”
His lips brushed your forehead once more.
“Gods are perfect beings from the beginning.”
You swallowed.
Poseidon stepped away and picked up his trident.
Two weeks passed.
The palace felt enormous without him.
Every day you walked the balcony looking at the waves, wondering if somewhere beyond the horizon Poseidon was fighting.
Or bleeding.
Or...
You stopped yourself.
He would never lose. He was Poseidon.
Still…
You missed him.
Then one evening.
You heard it. A whistle.
Your ran towards the hallway.
And there he was.
Poseidon walked into the palace .Not a scratch on him.
Your heart slammed against your ribs.
“My lord!”
You ran toward him before thinking throwing your arms around him.
Your face pressed into his chest.
“You’re back… I was so worried.”
His arm slowly wrapped around your waist.
“You worry too much.”
Your grip tightened.
He sighed faintly and rested his chin briefly against your head.
“Did you forget?”
His fingers tilted your face up cold blue eyes staring directly into yours.
“Gods…are perfect beings.”
Married to a god who doesn't even look at you.
You stood beside his throne. Poseidon sat on his throne like a statue his blue eyes did not move toward you even once.
Not when you entered.
Not when you bowed.
Not when you softly said,
“Good morning, my lord.”
Silence. As always.
Your marriage had not been your choice. The gods had decided a gentle demigoddess of the sea would be a “suitable companion” for the god of oceans.
Poseidon disagreed.
He had made that very clear.
“You speak too much.”
“You walk too loudly.”
“You breathe too close.”
Yet somehow you never stopped smiling softly at him because you loved him.
Days turned into months.
You filled the palace with quiet kindness.
Flowers in the halls.
Warm light in empty chambers.
Soft greetings whenever he returned.
However, Poseidon ignored all of it.
One afternoon, you approached him carefully while he stood watching the sea currents.
“My lord… would you like tea?”
Poseidon didn't turn.
“I did not ask for a servant.”
Your hands tightened slightly around the tray.
“I am your wife”
His blue eyes finally shifted toward you.
“Then act less useless.”
The words hurt.
But you only bowed your head.
“Yes… my lord.”
You still loved him even if he never looked at you.
Everything began to change months later.
You were speaking in the palace garden with another demigod messenger.
You laughed softly at something he said.
Poseidon happened to walk past the corridor.
He stopped.
His gaze drifted toward the garden.
And for the first time in your marriage he actually looked at you.
You were smiling beautifully , your eyes soft as the sea.
But you weren't looking at him.
You were looking at someone else.
Something strange twisted in Poseidon’s chest.
The messenger bowed and left soon after, leaving you alone among the flowers.
Poseidon appeared behind you without a sound.
“You seem comfortable.”
“My lord.. when did you..!”
“Laughing with another man.”
“He was just delivering messages…”
Poseidon stepped closer.
“Do not embarrass me.”
“I would never”
His hand suddenly grabbed your wrist.
“Remember your place.”
After that day, Poseidon started noticing things.
Things he had ignored before.
How the palace became quiet when you left to visit your home.
How servants adored you.
And how other gods looked at you.
One evening he saw Hermes speaking to you, smiling politely while you explained something excitedly.
Poseidon’s trident cracked the marble floor.
Hermes blinked.
“…Ah.”
Poseidon spoke without looking at him.
“Leave.”
Hermes chuckled softly.
“Of course.”
Once Hermes was gone, Poseidon turned toward you.
“My lord?”
“You speak easily with others.”
You blinked.
“…They speak to me.”
“And you respond.”
Your voice softened.
“You never speak to me.”
Silence.
The words hung heavily between you two.
Later that night, you sat quietly on the balcony overlooking the ocean.
You didn’t notice Poseidon approaching.
“You cry often.”
You quickly wiped your face.
“I do not.”
Poseidon stepped closer.
“You do.”
He paused.
“…Why?”
“Because I love someone who despises me.”
Poseidon stared at you.
“But I chose to love you. So that is my burden.”
You stood to leave.
But suddenly poseidon grabbed your arm again.
“You love me.”
“Of course.”
Poseidon looked at you like he was seeing you for the first time.
Without warning he pulled you closer.
His hand moved to your face. Gently. So unexpectedly gently.
“You are foolish.”
And then
He kissed you.
Your eyes widened before slowly closing.
Your hands trembled against his chest.
When the kiss broke,
“…You will not speak to other men like that again.”
You laughed softly.
“Are you jealous?”
“…No.”
Pause.
“…Yes.”
You smiled.
And that expression alone made something dangerous stir inside the god of the sea.
He lifted you effortlessly into his arms.
“My lord?!”
“You are my wife.”
His eyes softened slightly.
“And tonight… I will finally act like your husband.”
He carried you toward the inner chambers of the palace.
The doors closed behind you.
Is ThiS mY lEgAcY in thiS FAndOm!?!?!/rh
You know how the booktok people were talking about cannibalism a few years back and saying how it was a metaphor for obsessive love? I think I understand now.
And not a day will go by where I don't think about my husband.

I like Kojiro's design. I don't see any headcanons or anything I can put on his design because he's perfect. Poseidon, on the other hand, I have my own ideas, because I can draw. I know the blue tips are simply lighting in the manga cover, but permit me to dream.
I don't even draw my ocs this much these fuckers have me on a chokehold. My friends may also be feeding onto my hyperfixation. One of them likes blonde guys and the other likes buff guys. She demands more younger kojiro and for my friends I would fight in that arena. I simply have to get better at drawing humans.
