I just wanted to spread some good vibes, I've been going through it lately and my f/os have been getting me through alongside an irl partner - So I just wanna say to everyone who stops in on this blog, admin included, your f/os love you.

I know sometimes it might not feel like it, or it might be hard to believe because it can be hard to understand why someone would love you when you're hard on yourself - But I promise they love you. Maybe they love you for a reason that seems impossible to understand but that's okay. Let them love you anyways.

I often think of the post that points out flowers and christmas lights are both beautiful in their own way, and we don't ever say that because one isn't the other it's less valuable or pretty - Same concept except f/os love all of us forever, the end. Just because we can't always see what they do, doesn't mean they don't love us anyways. 🫂

They do, and I really really hope this helps someone else. There's lots going on in today's day and age of course, but whether you just needed a reminder, a little pick me up, a big pick me up, or to be told from a different perspective (me sometimes) that's okay. Regardless of what situation it helps with, I really hope the concept conveyed here helps someone reaffirm themselves and their relationships. Whether you selfship for fun, or you're more serious with it, whether you're monogamous or polyam, regardless of sharing status - Your f/o does love you. Forever. But it's okay if sometimes that's hard to feel or remember. They still understand. They still love you.

but also i want to give you some positivity, because even before the rant, i saw one of your lalafellin limericks for someone, and it tickled me. i just thought to myself, "mimble's always doing these, and has always been such a positive influence in the community."

so i wanted to say i'm so happy to have you around. i love being able to see the way you make so many people feel thought of and welcome in the tumblr side of the ffxiv community. especially since you obviously don't have to go out of your way for such things, you just...do. and that open hand to others does a lot for me, especially. but i'm sure for so many others, similar to me, that also suffer bouts of uncertainty and rsd.

Thank you for being so kind. I am glad that I can bring some positivity to the community, despite the occasional grumpy rant! And I hope I can continue to make people feel welcome and valued in my own silly way :)

Now onto the important bit - saying something positive about you as requested!

I think something I really admire about you is your creativity and skill over so many different mediums - including art, writing, animation and (of course) Gpose! To have such a grasp of just one would be impressive, but to be have so much ability in so many speaks of real talent. You should be very proud!

I'm assuming this is meant for me and not Saeph, so I'll answer as myself. I pondered for a long while, but I'm trying to be positive about myself right now, so I'll go with five things I love about myself - while also including why I dislike those things.

HUMOUR

like: because i enjoy making people laugh as much as i enjoy making myself laugh. mostly, it's the first time i'm hearing/reading my own joke, so if it's funny, it's funny. i would be awful at standup comedy for laughing at myself, but i love my quick wit. dislike: i don't take anything seriously enough, and this sometimes causes issues in communication.

COMPASSION AND KINDNESS

dislike: it makes me vulnerable to being taken advantage of. like: because i enjoy helping other people and showing empathy, even towards those who've wronged me. i can easily put myself into their shoes and understand where they're coming from. i think to be empathetic and understanding is important between people. and of course, to show general kindness to people, with no expectations.

ALTRUISM

dislike: because like the above, it makes me vulnerable to being mistreated. like: because i feel like everyone should at last be content, and i'll go out of my way to see to that. i mean, my cats sometimes allow me to sleep in my bed, so i feel that a few nights of them sleeping comfortably is worth me sleeping in the guest room or on the couch. -- see what i mean about not taking anything seriously?

CREATIVITY

dislike: because sometimes i don't feel good enough in anything i do - music, especially. like: because i can play many instruments and sing. i also write my own music (the motivation comes every few years). also, i can easily put my humour into my creativity. for example, i legit learned how to play the trombone so i could play hot cross buns and record it for someone's birthday. it was awful, but hilarious. i also draw terrible, terrible stick figures in photoshop that look like they were done in ms paint.

APPEARANCE

dislike: being 6'4", as i'm mostly taller than everyone around me. i also have this huge fear of looking old (i know, wrinkles and aging are inevitable. i know...), so i have a whole morning/evening skincare routine that i wish i didn't. like: my fashion sense. i'm not really big into fashion, in general. but, i either look like i walked out of the 1920s, am in dress pants & a matching shirt, or am in chuck taylor's and a band or star wars tee. and i'm just a complete slob when i don't have to work (but i'm comfy), so...

Monster Hunter Wilds in 2025, and I really hope we get a release date for it soon becos I am burning to know if my built-in-2018 pc is capable enough to play Wilds becos I am definitely gonna play it!! Please let Gammoth and Lagiacrus come back please they've been in the dungeon so long!! 🤞

2. Arcane's second and final season in November, when its first part arrives, which is gonna be fun becos it released in November back in 2021 in my birth month too! I can't wait to see the fallout of S1's cliffhanger!

3. The rest of Only Murders in the Building's fourth season. It's been a really rollicking adventure so far and I can't wait to see how it all unravels.

This was so tough and I know I haven’t included all my mutuals but I’ve included the people I’ve talked more too and so had more of an idea of what songs to pick. I love all my mutuals though please don’t be sad if I haven’t mentioned you 🩵

@georgieluz - Somebody to die for by Hurts. Every time I hear this song I always think of Jules after our conversation about how this is a song he associated with Easy Company. And let’s be honest I’d probably die for Jules 🩵
