“And that- is twelve swears in German. This has been a German lesson with a von Karma.”
Random Drabble Prompt: I swear, that is exactly how it happened.
The commotion was loud, with tinkles of laughter, striking a pang of fear into Corinne's heart. Three days before Christmas? This was not what she needed today. She ran out of the back to see Brian laying on the floor, covered in coffee and with a dog licking whipped cream from his hair.

He'd come into the Café on a break, just to see how her day was going and to get a little hit of caffeine for the afternoon. It wasn't surprising how busy it was - three days before Christmas and all the late shoppers were out in force, trying to finish off their Christmas lists. Of course they needed a bit of refueling too, it only made sense.
And of course they weren't all in the most festive mood. As soon as he stepped past the end of the line he heard a woman muttering about how cops think they can do whatever they want. He smirked and let it go, continuing on.
But then someone decided that she had a point and decided to loudly state, "The end of the line is back here, officer." Well damn, you can't ignore them when they call you out like that.
Brian turned and smiled at them, deciding not to cause a scene. "I'm just visiting the owner. I promise, I'm not going to jump the line." Ok, it was a lie, he had every intention of getting some coffee while he was there. But they didn't need that info. He turned back towards the counter to see Annie suppressing a laugh, but no Corinne in sight, she must be in the back.
So he started walking in that direction when someone actually blocked his path. He was just about say something, probably not too nice, but before he got a chance the person at the counter turned to walk away, bumping into the guy in his path and spilling their coffee down his back. The guy jumped and stepped on the foot of a dog waiting with a woman behind him. They dog yowled and started to run. He proceeded to wrap his leash around Brian's ankles and pull tight, making Brian fall over, knocking into the person who'd spilled their coffee and making them spill what was in their other hand all over Brian's head.
It couldn't be called coffee in the strictest sense, at least not in Brian's mind. It was sticky, slightly warm, and whipped cream rolled slowly down one eye as he laid on the ground sputtering. He tasted cinnamon.

She did a good job of hiding the smile.

HE’S NOT DEAD. HE’S SLEEPING DRAMATICALLY. CAUSE MOMMY SAYS IF HE’S DEAD AND LEFT HER WITH ALL OF THEM SHE’LL HAVE JOHN RESURRECT HIM SO SHE CAN KILL HIM.
NOPE DEAD NOW. THE SPECTRE IS THEIR DADDY NOW
I would like everyone to know that the option of “I could just beat them up” is ALWAYS in the back of Tifa’s mind. Now, she’s fully aware this will not solve all of her problems, in fact it probably won’t solve most of them???
But she knows the option is there

Going to a haunted house wasn't something she particularly enjoyed doing on her own and so she was trying to find someone to join her. She loved the haunts and enjoyed watching the people with her getting scared. Most of the time the haunts weren't as scary as she was hoping, but she recently found one that shown promise.
"Hey, do you want to join me for a haunted house? I heard that this one makes you sign a waiver to go in." Kaisa asked with a large grin on her face. "I also heard most people can't make it past the first floor!"
