This is a wild shot in the dark but I have a question for anyone who has thyroid nodules (or knows anything about them). My endocrinologist said the one on my right side might cause "swallowing difficulty," which I said nah it hasn't but now I'm realizing hang on I don't actually know what that MEANS.
I'm going to message him about it too but I guess I sort of assumed 'swallowing difficulty' meant like...choking on food? Which thankfully has not been happening. But I HAVE been having some issues sometimes with certain food textures feeling like they just sort of...stop in my throat? Especially softer food textures (I've noticed it with beans and rice in particular). I'll be swallowing and they'll be at the VERY back of my throat, like right where they feel like they should be tipping downward with gravity, and they just sort of...stop and hang out. I imagine it's what it felt like to that whale when Nemo's dad was hanging onto the uvula. Just chilling. Is that what it means??
