I survived my exam only to dive head first into the next assignment on the list of things that are due in the immediate future; nightmares in OpenGL. My prof actually thinks that OpenGL can replace MATLAB so we’ve literally just been recreating anything that could be done so easily in MATLAB.
How the exam went earlier in the day you may ask? It was horrid.
Although the exam started at 8:30 am we were told to join the online meeting at 8:00 am. This meant that for 30 minutes everyone was sitting there anxiously just wishing for the exam to be over.
Next the prof puts up notes about the final among which is “the final is intentionally long, do what you feel comfortable with first”
He decided to throw a curve ball at us with a multiple choice section. Someone had their mic unmuted at this point and commented “I did not see that one coming.”
Ten minutes before the exam starts, someone is just humming to themselves
Five minutes before starting, someone started ranting to another person about how demented the class is (mic on obviously)
As soon as it ends the prof comments “I guess we are going to have to scale”
I genuinely do not understand the point of making an exam intentionally long. It was impossible to finish every question, yet alone check over any work. Myself and my lab teammate sort of just sat there after it was all over in shock; neither of us know if we passed or failed.
