“Remind me again, why I’m helping you out now?” Higgs asked aloud as Heartman went about taking measurements of Higgs’s body. He was very meticulous about getting the numbers right. To Higgs, Heartman was a little too chipper for his personal liking. 

“Because if I’m going to help you with your Chiralium Poisoning, I need solid data and evidence on you, the subject matter. This is very crucial to determining how we can go about lowering your chiral levels. I mean you don’t really have alternatives.” Heartman explained, humming along as he took his personal measuring tape out and gestured for Higgs to spread his arms out, feet standing as close as possible to each other as he measured Higgs’s arm span from fingertip to fingertip. 

“Look at it this way, your data is going to help so many more victims of Chiral Poisoning. It’s not a lot, but it is a path towards redemption on your part.” Heartman said enthusiastically, earning a sigh and eye roll from Higgs.

“I regret nothing. Except for maybe this.” Higgs said bluntly, earning a chuckle from Heartman. 

Higgs went with the motions, doing whatever Heartman asked. He figured being the equivalent of a human guinea pig for a couple hours wouldn’t be so bad. After the data was collected, Heartman told Higgs it was alright for him to put back on most of his gear save for the heavier items. While Heartman was out of the office, Higgs started putting on his old porter uniform, adjusting the black tank he was wearing underneath before Heartman came in with two large cups. One was the size of a man’s head and the other was maybe a few inches shorter. 

“Hm?” Higgs quirked his brow as Heartman happily waltzed over and handed the cups out to him. 

“I’m gonna need you to fill these up with some bodily fluids!” 

“With what?!” Higgs exclaimed. Sticking with Chiralium Poisoning almost sounded better than whatever Heartman was gonna have him do next.

Oh my god. Blue wiped out my team. Almost twice. I had to hang on to my Alolan Garagara because I forgot to buy revives lol. Darn. Blue’s tough one to beat! Maybe I just suck lol

So I have the DLC for Date Everything and interacting with Michael (micro transactions) you can learn that objects can in fact have kids. That pops up in the second conversation you have with him.

And, well, it got me thinking, because Eddie and Volt have fucking consumed my brain even though I have not finished a playthrough of them staying with the homeowner after they're Realized and all the domestic stuff that goes with that:

Learning how to be human with their favorite human.

Starting a bar in downtown Coolsville.

Getting the player pregnant whether by surprise or not and completely doting on them.

Bonus if they end up conceiving in the new bar.

Calling their kids "little wires" because I see them agreeing it's only fair they each get a turn knocking up the player (with permission of course).

Volt and the player teasing Eddie that he's not the only one who can create life when babies happen.

I also see Sam and Tinfoil Hat helping all the dateables get documents so they can live free once realized (again, have not finished the game, no idea what happens after).

Sam wants to meet the dateables so bad.

She fully teases player character about romancing the breaker box and getting two guys out of it.

She shows up the morning after Eddie and Volt are realized to make fake IDs and is just like "oh. Yeah you're gonna be pregnant so fucking fast."

Sam's a little jealous. But I bet she fully goes heart eyes at at least one of the dateables.

I'm a tiny bit drunk so I'm leaving this here and maybe will add on to it later.

I was thinking how my Tav, being a cleric and devoting herself fully to any cause she takes on, would kinda "lose sight" of the important things in her fervor to find a cure for Astarion.

To the point he finally has to sit her down and be like,

"Darling, walking in the sun is a wonderful goal... but all this... running about. Constant traveling. Constant research. You, exhausted through the day and running yourself ragged in the night-- I appreciate it! I truly do. But I don't want just that. I want to do nothing with you. I want to do everything with you. Go to theater and bemoan the lead and hurl insults from the audience! Laze about in our rooms and read books all evening... yes, I want to walk in the sun again. Yes, I want to be cured of this. But what I want most of all is a life. With you. And this is the one I've got right now. Is... is that enough? Is that still what you want?"

And his worry she is rushing finding a cure so quickly because she can't stand the idea of being with a vampire spawn and is finding she hates it-- and her actually dedicating herself so fully because she wants him to feel cared for and that she isn't going to dismiss or forget his dreams and wishes in favor of a simple, easy life.

They have a good chat, lots of hugs, and then while they continue to follow leads and hunt for the evasive cure, they also open up the possibility of just treating the symptoms. Finding a way to protect him from sunlight, manage blood cravings, etc etc.
