Ms K Le Guin really went off with using the yin yang symbol for tlhod because like what do you meeeeean our two main characters are two parts of the same person, so different yet with a piece of the other contained within them; Alike and unalike. that they’re unable to ever fully understand each other but by staying together they continue to compliment each other and create something more true to themselves than they ever could have achieved alone. That their bond is so meaningful that they can never really be whole without their counterpart. Whatever, killing myself, falling down the stairs and breaking all my bones on the way down, etc
If light yagami was transgender I honestly don’t think she’d even notice. Like pre death note she’s so caught up in winning at being the specialist most smartest successful boy in the whole world and then post death note she’s got all the death note bullshit going on so she doesn’t really have time for that.
