I’ve owned these #rollerblades for probably close to 25 years... seriously. I have gone out in them a few times here and there in my 20s and 30s, but haven’t seriously worn them since I was a teenager. Today, I just went out in them... my #poststroke legs are very different than before my stroke!? It felt SO different. It’s so weird. I can walk and have my balance back now, but there are things like my muscles/feeling and my knees that feel different and don’t react the same as before. I almost fell at least a couple dozen times. But I did it anyway! Haha. I’ll be blading with my son in no time. #strokesurvivor #strokeawareness https://www.instagram.com/p/CCXVTKXpiRG/?igshid=1waigpmhtkbc6

Nagoya City University (NCU) researchers have revealed an interaction between cortico-brainstem pathways during training-induced recovery in stroke model rats, providing valuable insights for improving rehabilitation methods.
Upper limb hemiparesis often occurs after ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke. Unilateral upper extremity impairment can substantially disturb patients’ ability to complete…

Just looking for other outlets to share my knowledge and love for all things fitness. I constantly update my Instagram with posts, talks, videos and more with tips on nutrition and work outs. Feel free to ask me any fitness or nutrition questions you may have.
I’m not the most shred or biggest out there but it’s baby steps for me as I’ve overcome suffering a stroke and this is my stress relief! I also have limitations in which I’ll modify workouts for, so if you’re limited in certain ways please feel free to reach out as well, as I may have some different insight then just a “normal” fitness person might have.
