Thoughts on part 1 before part 2 gets released
I'm quickly rewatching part 1 just now but i've been thinking about some stuff for the past 4 weeks, specially when i've been mainly keeping up with the fandom on twitter, which was... not very fun
The pack getting some ikea kallax for Enid
Eugene never actually rejected Pugsley's friendship, just said that he needed some time before going along (specially after being electrified, then reminded of his attack, then had his bugs being threatened of being eaten once again) so I don't agree with the reading of Eugene being 'mean' this season, he's definitely wary of him and also wanting his 5 minutes of fame to finally get friends, but overall he's not particularly unfair to Pugsley

Enid saying the most romantic line about Wednesday and Bruno saying that he'd wish he had someone like that just after, while being flirty? he's already comparing himself to Wednesday somewhat
Agnes's group has a shapeshifter, it's a possibility that she will be used at some point in part 2
It felt like most of the moments of Wednesday's relationship with her parents was wasted on the book, as in: 'she had the book this whole time?' 'she took my book' 'i didnt hide the book here' 'lets duel for the book' 'i'm burning the book'. Wasted a lot of time for Wednesday on finding how to save Enid while Morticia keeps being very unhelpful with psychic visions, so that felt frustrating to me
The camping episode was not as fun as the Poe cup episode, but it does fit the theme of outcast pride vs normies with Dort, the werewolf run as human was pretty bad looking mostly because why would they even run on all fours as humans? it's not adapted to it, also it didn't feel like they were faster that way
Also it's a shame we don't have Yoko and Divina in this season, the Nightshade group feels really empty with now just Bianca, Ajax and Kent in it, even if they had some of their scenes cut in s1 they made the background characters feel more alive than this season, imo, so far the new student characters are Agnes and Bruno, then a bunch of unnamed ones, then Ajax Pugsley and Eugene being a bit more relevant
I read in a Netflix article that Tyler's mother got into hyde mode when giving birth, which is why she got taken away by Willow Hill, i wonder if this was her actually hyde trigger and so, would that make her son her 'master'? probably not but who knows
There's a theme around moth/butterfly also this season, and with the Instagram channel we also got a poem linking a butterfly to Slurp, and a picture of part 2 with Wednesday holding a jar containing a butterfly? moth? i wonder where this is going...
2 different characters saying basically the same thing to Wednesday (might be an unintended repetition in the script)
They didn't show his face just for not having him at some point, but also that could be for season 3 plot
Him preventing Enid twice to threaten Agnes? yeah he's still sus to me, maybe Agnes has blackmail on him or something
Wednesday and Agnes are both referred as 'pint-sized'
The broken glass sound when the white rose fell in the vision must just be from when Wednesday gets ejected through the window
Enid did a better job here than the normies at the Rave'n :)
Between Stonehurst's daughter getting avian powers at some point, Ophelia that got sent to Willow Hill 'years' ago, the freak electrical storm from 'years' ago, and the schizophrenic werewolf in 1992 (linked to Isadora?), gomez not having outcast powers, i wonder how it will all connect
