Delving around in the archives I discovered that when Potion Approaching was a demo called Go-Kart, it had another verse:

Unfortunately the link to the YouTube video has broken and I can’t find it anywhere else. The arrangement of this version was described as “glam stomp-esque”

I guess it was decided that this friend bit had to be dropped when you consider the rest of the lyrics 🤔
