Things I hate #17: Two pound coins
Back to minor irritations that I take too far, two pound coins REALLY piss me off. They're too big, they mix gold and silver, which everybody knows is tacky, and they hold too much money in one coin. Also they look too much like Euros. And no one likes Euros.
I get a bit nervous if I get given one amongst change, and have to spend it as quickly as possible, so another problem with them is they contribute to my awful habits with money.
Similarly, the denominations of money around two pound coins - one pound coins, and fivers, are my favourite types of money because they're pretty, nice solid amounts of cash to have on you, and best of all in easy multiples to count up.
People have started noticing my aversion to two pound coins, which I think proves that it's possibly going a little too far. But I don't mind, I keep my little OCDs to myself, and as I've found, most other people really like them for some ridiculous reason, so if I owe you money, I'll be paying you back in two pound coins (obviously if it's £2 or over... and small enough to pay back in cash, ha ha ha you're so clever).
There are pound coins all over my floor. Suddenly I feel rich.
