2, 7, 10, 18 and 23 for the PR headcanon ask game: Flynn, Shelby and Dr. K
2. “What's their biggest secret?”
Flynn: He spent nearly $500 on eBay to get all 42 volumes of the original Dragon Ball manga in high school; he regrets nothing.
Shelby: She has a triceratops fursona that she’s had since middle school—
Dr. K: Aside from the obvious Alphabet Soup & Venjix-related elephants in the room, she had a huge anime phase as a tween, via old cassette tapes of Sailor Moon, Naruto, & one or two other series that AS had on them that they’d let her watch when she’d finished her work; she has mixed feelings looking back on it now (she finds it cringe but she also wishes that she got to be fully cringe at that age by getting to be a regular kid~)
7. “What would they be doing if they weren't a Power Ranger?”
Flynn: I think he’d be a mechanic, inventor, & programmer like he already is!
Shelby: Studying to be a paleontologist. Easy.
Dr. K: I mean, she already isn’t a ranger, but I think away from ranger-related duties, she would still be an inventor/#girlwhocodes, but it would be on her own terms~
10. “What or who gives them comfort?”
Well, first of all, all of their respective partners ofc~ (& this goes for everyone I ship them all with in all circumstances btw :) but as for what—
Flynn: Soft things; he got to pet/hug cows for therapy & stress relief back home a good amount of times growing up, which he really misses, so anything that reminds him of that is very comforting to him~
Shelby: Dinosaur plushies! She has a HUGE collection sorted by species, size, herbivores/omnivores/carnivores, franchise if they’re fictional (like dinosaur pokemon), obviously with triceratops being at the forefront! It gives her a lot of comfort & joy & she’s been collecting them for years at this point-
Dr. K: Animal Crossing. It’s her comfort game/hobby 100% (Ziggy probably introduced her to the franchise but she’s a way bigger fan than they are at this point haha)
18. “What's their family life like?”
Flynn: He was an oopsie baby & when his parents’ relationship ultimately didn’t work out, his dad took full custody of him. His mom hasn’t been in his life since he was way too young to remember her. I like Flynn’s relationship with his dad in canon, honestly, I don’t think I have anything to say or add there~
Shelby: Like with Flynn, I like her relationship with her dad in canon & don’t have much to add there either, so I’ll talk about her mom; Shelby’s mom has a very demanding job (she’s a doctor), so Shelby was taken care of more by her dad growing up. She loves her mom a lot & really looks up to her, & when she finally does get the chance to talk to her mom about her paleontology dreams, she’s very supportive & proud of her. Her family is not devoid of issues by any means, but Shelby really does love her parents & wants them to be proud of her, which they absolutely are 🩷
Dr. K: I headcanon that she had very neglectful parents who were not at all equipped to raise a child like her, so, unsurprisingly, they didn’t do a very good job. to say the least. 😐 K can’t remember her original parents, but she honestly couldn’t care less about who they are anymore, or even if they’re still alive, because, after everything, all she can think about is that, whoever they were, they failed her. & obviously her AS “parents” weren’t any better. (In fact I hc that she blocked them out of her mind so much, as a trauma response, that she literally doesn’t know what they looked like anymore.) As for the twins, who ARE her siblings to me, seeing as they were all raised my the same people (terrible people, sure, but your parent doesn’t stop being your parent if they suck, sadly :’), their ideal dynamic, to me, is just the “Siblings” song by Brian David Gilbert, just with their added individual & shared trauma ofc :’)
23. “What's a self indulgent headcanon for them?”
Flynn: He mains Demoman in tf2! He’s always happy to see some good rep for him & his Scottish brethren ✊🏴
Shelby: While not as intense & long-lasting as her dinosaur interest, she was absolutely a horse girl too at some point jsjsks
Dr. K: She’s a Sanrio fan; Chococat is her favorite 🖤✨
