How do you do moodboard? How can I make my own?

Hello! At first, I want to say I’m NOT a proffesional haha.

What I do is, I save pictures from the tumblr’s archive and I ‘’cut’’ them in square boxes. Then when I have 9 of them (3x3 makes a moodboard, but I use a username box in the middle. I can teach u that too lmao, thats the hardest part.)

and when i go into the post thing on my tumblr, you can sort your pics in the way you want, so I sort them 3 x 3 HAHA Sorry its hard to explain.

BUT, if i can do it, so can you!!

Do you have any tips for studying for masters comps??

It really depends on your comps! Mine were pick 12 pieces and know them inside and out. Which was easy because I could pick pieces I knew, loved, and had studied.  If you have to have more knowledge about your instrument overall or on a specific subject it gets more complicated and I don’t really have much experience with it!

What are your top retro horror films? I love Rosemary's Baby, The Excorsist, and The Omen, and I'm really in the mood for something along those lines that I haven't seen.

okay well i don’t know how far back you’re counting as retro (i’m gonna go anything before 1990), but i have a couple of faves (the omen is one of my all time favorites as well)

okay the 1973 the wicker man (NOT the nicolas cage version lmao) the original is really quality folk horror and shares a lot of stuff in common with rosemary’s baby?

misery is always a classic if you haven’t seen it (although i think the book is just a little bit better? still a great adaptation)

the thing (1982)

the cabinet of dr. caligari is REALLY retro but so cool

vampyr (1932) is just a bizarre, surreal little film and i liked it a lot when i saw it in a film class

i personally didn’t like suspiria all that much, but a lot of people do, so you might check that out?

also i’m just like. assuming everyone has seen the shining but that’s. an all-time fave so if you haven’t seen it. like. see it (although i have a lot of Opinions about the shining as a movie and its deviations from the book but whatever that’s another post lmao. it’s still a really good movie)
