i’m so sorry but the day ilia retires is the day i’ll watch men’s competitions again, because wdym he got 46 in pcs (the highest in yesterday’s short program)??? to put it into perspective: adam’s brilliant step sequence got 1.95 goe (maximum goe), the same as ilia!!! like??? are you kidding? and adam’s pcs were 45.57, and ilia’s? 46.24, do you know where ilia scored higher pcs than adam?? in every single category, even skating skills lmaooooo

but let’s put ilia’s massive pcs into even more perspective: junhwan cha got 42.64 for a clean sp at the olympics, misha got 40.49 (and i’d say ilia’s pcs should be closer to misha’s since they have similar skating skills —but misha's are better tho—and both still need to improve, so why is only misha getting lowballed for it and not ilia?), like, not even yuzuru’s record-breaking short program at the 2020 four continents got perfect goe on the step sequence, bffr

ilia is getting this gold as a consolation prize for his lacking olympics performance by ANY MEANS, they are not leaving anything to chance

Olympic men single - first after SP, 8 place after FS

World Championships -Gold - total results 329.40 with personal best in SP 111.29.

Ilia literally had one bad skate during the whole seaon (unfortunately during Olympic). He scored over 300 points in almost all events (during the season only Yuma scored over 300 - GPF 302 and Worlds 306)

Ilia deserves all fucking awards!

I loveed watching worlds it was so nice to see a lot of skaters skating a lot better than they did at the Olympics 🙏 This is a sort of part 2 to my other Ilia piece :D

I just found out about Yuma not competing for the 2026-2027 season ☹️ He's legit my all time favorite skater, and one of the reasons why I love figure skating so much. But honestly he deserves the rest, so rest well Yumachi!! We'll be waiting for you ☹️ This post was to late celebrate his win on silver at prague, but lowky this is now also to wish him all the best 🥲

Congrats again Yuma, and get that well deserved rest 💛
