I'm trying to make an honest effort to take my health issues seriously (as well as lose some weight), so i'd like to know what you guys like to eat (especially from those who might also have these problems!!) because my normal meal planning has left me at a loss :T <3
I currently am: Lactose Intolerant, with Diverticulosis/Diverticulitis, and Pre-Diabetic.
As of right now, i can't have:
Foods high in starch/carbs (Potatoes, Bread, Pasta, etc)
Foods with tiny bits (Broccoli Florets, Seeds, Nuts, etc)
Foods that are hard to digest (Corn, Broccoli Stems, Nuts, etc)
Dairy that isn't aged (Soft cheeses like Mozzarella, Milk, Yogurt, etc is bad. Substitute milks like almond milk are fine though).
Beef & Ground/Minced meats in general
The only foods i don't LIKE to eat, are: Eggplant, Squash, Brussel Sprouts, Hominy, Black Beans, and Edemame/Snow Peas.
I'd love to know what you guys do as side-dishes more than just "Steam carrots/cauliflower and put butter on it." because that's getting old fast.
We love to eat Asian, Mexican, and German/European food and prefer not to deep-fry anything. We do eat seafood, and we don’t have any religious restrictions. Just budget restrictions lol.
Qinoa, Hemp Seed, Flax Seed, and Chia are not something i can do -- because that requires going to the expensive organic foods store and i am fucking broke. (I am aware that Amazon sells things too, but i don't have Prime and shipping is expensive.)
All that being said -- shower me with your food suggestions oh wise and healthy ones \o/
