#pre-pandemic

Two years ago I was reading Carmen Laforet on the streets of Barcelona, under the assumption that if I just washed my hands often and was cautious, I would be fine, and that worst case it would mean a nasty flu. That assumption was shut down a week or so later on a late night on Seville, but I still remember that Spain trip with so many amazing, joyous, lovely memories.

once upon a December is basically how it feels to remember pre-pandemic times. Seeing people, specifically your family members dancing and partying, “someone holds me safe and warm, far away, long ago...things my heart used to know, things it yearns to remember...” yeah. Yeah.
