This is a pre-viz for Wonder Woman. Basically, a pre-viz is where stunt groups choreograph a short fight scene and then submit their work to the film makers as a way of saying, “Hey...see how fucking cool we could make your movie look?” While I don’t believe the team behind this fight scene got hired (I’m not sure on that), two out of three girls did. They were stunt doubles for Gal Gadot (Alicia Vela-Bailey) and Robin Wright (Mickey Facchinello).
HOLLOWED ANGELS GRAPHIC NOVEL COVER CONCEPT # 1
Here’s the pre-viz for what’s probably the best fight Marvel has ever done: the causeway fight in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
It’s nice to see what moves translated to the film exactly how they’re played out here. Great stuff.
This is fight choreographer Aaron Toney’s concept video for Iron Fist. He didn’t get the job on the Netflix series but it’s a great example of what could have been.
And he choreographed and shot this in one day. Imagine what he could have done with a few weeks and a hefty budget.
Here’s fight choreographer and stunt man Felix Betancourt’s pre-viz for Avengers: Endgame. The first is his vision for Hawkeye versus Black Widow and the second is Captain Marvel versus Thanos. I’m always amazedbyt what they can accomplish in these clips. Oh and the lady in the first clip is Heidi Moneymaker, Scarlett Johansson’s real-life stunt double.
Here’s Aaron Toney’s version of the cliff-side fight in the most recent Power Rangers movie. It’s amazing how many people make amazing fight scenes for films and the directors end up going with far worse versions. I feel Black Panther did the same.
Another amazing pre-viz fight from Vlad Rimburg. This time it’s one of the Batman versus Bane fights from the Batman: The Enemy Within game. I like the fact he used a lady Batman here.
