Norah had officially lost her mind. She knew this was a little bit reckless. Staff weren’t allowed to attend the country club’s functions but considering Norah was dating the son of the owner, she figured she could get away with it. She had put on her favorite pink dress, the one she always thought was too nice to wear anywhere. Slipping past anyone who might recognize her hadn’t been easy but then again Norah was hardly the same person outside of her uniform. Once she was actually inside the party, there wasn’t much of a chance of anyone recognizing her. The members hardly paid attention to the staff and thankfully her coworkers had agreed not to say anything. Norah wanted this night to be special but all that came to a screeching halt when she finally spotted her boyfriend. Hiding at the back of the crowd with the daughter of club’s vice president. Norah’s first instinct had been to turn and run but she was angry and she wanted him to know that, “I can’t believe you.” The sad part was that Norah could believe actually. He’d never been patient, and with Norah continuously refusing to sleep with him, she could believe he was getting what he wanted from someone else. She was ready to lunge at him, the champagne glass in her hand gripped tightly as if she was about to smash it over his head, when suddenly something-no, someone-got in her way, “Get out of my way!”
